day one
![]() Complex Population: 35 ( October 3 - October 6 ) It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. One of the locked doors on the second floor is now open, so residents can partake in the clean, modest gym if you're the kind to keep in shape. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. character statuses character profiles private conversations |

Can you add a screwdriver to our commissary list? I need it to fix the bathroom stall.

I don't suppose you know if we could put up some kind of community billboard or whiteboard or something of the like for all of us residents? I tried looking for something similar in the commissary but I couldn't find anything like it. I know from experience in my own apartment complex at home that something like it is useful.

[ That's pretty interesting, isn't it? If you choose that option, you'll get a list of familiar names, and checking out each might yield interesting results.
Any terminal in the facility now includes the option to look at the IC profiles. ]

[Well this is new! Profiles. Dojima's is all the way down, the very last one, and he reads it with a sardonic smile]
Being stubborn...I guess they're right about that.
[Even if it's not a flattering thing, Dojima can't say it isn't correct. Besides, he has a lot of other profiles to read, and...and...what the hell is wrong here? There are so many profiles with oddities Dojima isn't sure where to be baffled at!]
This can't be all accurate. There has to be some sort of mistake in many of these.
October 4
[Dojima had checked the gym before and hadn't found anything that could help, but since he's here, well, why not to give some stuff here a try? He's no Hercules, but he's strong enough to use the gym equipment at respectable weights and difficulties, although...judging by the way he's straining, looks like he doesn't exercise that often.
Feel free to interrupt him if you wish]

[ This figures.
Spend your life as some weird experiment, keep being one. Elizabeth feels angry and it's obvious as such as her fists ball against the terminal. Age, features, skills? She wants to rip the damn monitor from its stand in anger. Someone hd done their research. Someone knows about her. Someone has invaded her privacy and worse - trapped her once more.
The line about running in high heels was the icing on the cake.
If you get a chance to look at the profile cards, Elizabeth is storming away out of anger. ]
Need to get out, now.
[ She says to no one but herself, but feel free to tag along. ]

[Someone seems to not be so happy over the profiles that have been uploaded to the commissary, and that someone is none other than Alfendi Layton, who is just shaking his head in disbelief like he refuses to believe what he's seeing. Hearing someone come in, he turns to them, gesturing to the offending thing blazing brightly on the screen.]
...They just didn't get my nose right! It's not that big...right?
[...Apparently this part is of more concern than "finding creative ways to threaten you and your tongue".]
october 4th (recreation room)
[Alfendi is a bored man - there doesn't seem to be anything intellectually exciting going on (besides looking over the profiles ad nauseam, he finds those interesting) - so he has taken up temporary residence in the recreation room to find some form of entertainment.]
[That form of entertainment just seems to be sitting in a chair he's brought up to the edge of the pool table, using his hand to roll balls over to try to get into the pockets on the opposite side.]
[He does this a few times, resting his cheek on the palm of his hand - if he notices someone nearby, he'll glance over, letting out a sigh.]
I've been thinking...I wonder if we'll ever get used to living here? Could it ever happen?
october 3rd-6th
[Alfendi can be found mostly in the cafeteria, the promenade by the fountain, or in the recreation room, just always looking somewhat bored - you can talk to him about his somewhat strange profile if you wish!]

Someone's really not pulling their punches here. [that's probably the one thing he could have done without having revealed. either way? whatever he came to request isn't on his mind now.]
recreation room;
First one of the bathroom stalls, now the pool cues? I guess a couple of people around here really do need to tone down the temper tantrums. [stop breaking shit guys, it hasn't even been a week?]
wildcard;
rec room!
[Sakyou is here too since he'd actually wanted to give pool a proper try now that he doesn't have to attempt to discourage people from using the cues to break through any windows they might find. Looks like he was beaten to the punch though, dang?!]

[Because someone (she doesn't know who, but it's definitely a someone) broke a bathroom stall, Veronica is going to be fixing it in the morning. The screwdriver she requested came in, and that plus duct tape should make sure the hinges are kept in order.
However it's going to take some time, so hope you didn't intend on wanting privacy in the morning! Veronica isn't the type to step aside, or care about people's need for space.]
rec room - noon
[Three out of four pool cues are broken. Joy.
Much like the bathroom, Veronica is going to be fixing up the sticks with some glue and duct tape jury rigging. However it isn't quite coming out as sturdy as she wants.
If only we had a stronger type of glue... can't believe some idiots went and broke it.
gym
[She has no idea about the mindset of these kidnappers, but she's not going to snub a perfectly functional gym. It looks impressively new and it's been a while since she's had the proper chance to work out.
Consider this a general catch-all for gym activities. Be it running, lifting weights, or bare knuckle boxing, Veronica will be here at various times of the day to get buff and request random people to spar with her (only if it'd be a fair fight though - sorry kids.)]
wildcard
[If you want to make a prompt, or plot something with me, feel free to PM this account!]
gym
Oh, no, no, I'm going to have to pass. [He says, with an apologetic wave of his hand.] I can't say I'm quite physically strong enough for such a thing. I can take on a newspaper crossword any day, but a spar? It's not my field of expertise...

But he's decided to show it off to Diva because he has no ability to tell when something is a good or bad idea! And as it turns out, this was probably a bad idea, considering how wired his temper is. SO. Anyone moseying by the rooming area on this fine morning will hear a little tussle brewing...]
Excuse me? I'll have you know that it's an incredibly valuable piece. Hand-crafted metals are always expensive, and this one is sculpted impeccably!
[Is he talking about the candleholder? Yes. Yes, he is.]
It’s ugly.
[ There’s a light female voice in return, and she doesn’t seem nearly as impressed with Charles’s valued possession in the slightest. Charles gave it to her to inspect, but she’s giving it a pretty bored, dismissive look as she turns the heavy thing over in her hands. There’s a sort of silence that makes it seem like she’s really thinking something over, but she tilts her head to the side slightly before she looks down at Charles and laughs. ]
It weighs as much as you, you know. Actually, it might be heavier.
[This is like the second time someone’s made fun of his weight or size?! Which honestly is pretty amazing considering how tiny he actually is, but whatever, he still has plenty of room to be OFFENDED. Which he is.]
There isn’t any possible way that this weighs more than I do. Stop being ridiculous. [...] And as I’ve said, it’s a work of art.
[He’ll defend Atlas until the end.]
[ Diva’s lips curl into more of a smile, and she giggles playfully. The laugh sounds innocent, but this is a lie. ]
Ah, really…? Do you want to prove it then? I have an idea. If it’s true, it shouldn't bother you. [ :) ]
[Unfortunately, Charles is too busy being worried about his wounded pride and insulted Atlas candleholder to really focus on the fact that this is stupid and he should probably say “no”. Even without remembering being a Chiropteran, it doesn’t slow down the moron express…]
I haven’t any need to prove it when you could simply tell by looking, but if it would shut you up about it, then by all means.
You’re really sweet.
[ It sounds sincere when she says it, but it’s probably the most passive-aggressive thing said in the Complex. She steps closer with a quick, but graceful step and brings the dumb candleholder up in a way that makes it clear that she’s definitely planning to just bean Charles with it. Maybe if he was a super lame vampire, he could do something about it, but alas. She brings it down right over his head with a laugh, though she’s quick to step back and drop it beside him. Diva brings her hand up to her mouth as she stifles her giggles, looking quite delighted. ]
Ahh, you were right? You are heavier!
(( ooc: look... leave us alone diva and charles are messes... Which is to say, replies are likely to come from both Diva and Charles! Tagging order will be you -> Charles -> Diva ))
I'm sorry I just had to

[ Tiptoeing as if not to disturb anyone, all Minatsuki wants is some food and water (mostly for her flowers on the latter). She's not against canned food, but she also wondered if she could ask for something better. After all, she's pretty sure she's seen a little boy with velvet cake...
She only wants to do it when she's alone, however, so if you're there in front of her in line... or even behind her, she'll insist that she doesn't need anything. Nothing at all! Woes of being shy and not wanting to make a fool of yourself. She doesn't want to end up taking too long and disturbing anyone either, okay!! ]
U-Um... you can go ahead. [ She's been here for what feels like forever. ]
afternoon; recreation room
[ Minatsuki is in the recreation room for the rest of her time, only because it seems to be the more lively ones. The pot of flowers that came with her is placed on the table, and she's watering them with care. ]
I hope you can still grow beautifully, even here...
