DAY 1 Complex Population: 35 ( October 3 - October 6 ) It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. One of the locked doors on the second floor is now open, so residents can partake in the clean, modest gym if you're the kind to keep in shape. — This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. Rather than enjoying it or not, I think it would be difficult to imagine things differently. It's been a large part of my life, and I wouldn't want to dishonor my sword.

My sword, Hotarumaru, is something that I inherited from my parents. It's been passed down through my family for generations, and it's strong and reliable and never wavers. If I couldn't wield it properly - if I wasn't good or strong enough myself to compliment its strength - then I wouldn't be able to honor everything that it's done for us.

[The way he's discussing it makes it sound more like he's talking about an Actual Human Partner™ than a sword, goodness. But his fondness is genuine and he wears it openly.]

Yes, it was. The job of a samurai is to protect their daimyo from harm... Ah, though I don't currently have one to protect. [#roninlife] Still, the streets are somewhat dangerous, and I've had to take care of myself since I was young.
