day one

DAY 1
Complex Population: 35

( October 3 - October 6 )

It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always.

There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store?

Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. One of the locked doors on the second floor is now open, so residents can partake in the clean, modest gym if you're the kind to keep in shape.

This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction.

[good to know someone's got some tact around here—he's sincerely appreciative of it.]

Oh, you know. Good old teenage rebellion and a little extra cashflow. It doesn't have much meaning, it was just a design I really liked back then.

It is an aesthetically pleasing design, I agree.

[a small pause]

How do you think they obtained this information? Being aware of our skills would be worrying enough, but certain items [like his details about betrayal] seem to imply that they have knowledge of at least several years of our lives.

I wish I knew. For all we know, they asked us and we just don't remember it. It wouldn't be the first thing in my memories that's felt hazy since I woke up here.

[which is obviously suspicious in itself, but he knows he's forgetting something, even if it's just how the hell they even got there to begin with.]
turinged: (and go about their lives)

If we do not recall being asked, would our consent still be binding?

If we signed a contract, there's probably something in the fine print... or a loophole. Anyone who'd go through these lengths isn't going to do it half-assed.
turinged: (how it feels to pass a day)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-05 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
I do not believe we signed anything. It is very convenient for them to say so when we have no memory of it.

I never said it wasn't a very big if. Only time's gonna tell if that's the case—but if it is, they probably covered their asses pretty well either way.

[hm.]

Why do you think they have brought us here?

[personal profile] betraitor 2016-10-06 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
That's the part I can't put my finger on at all. Nothing's really pointing at a reason to me.

[so.] You have any ideas?
turinged: (not above them)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-06 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Someone else I spoke to suggested that it was an experiment, to watch us and record our reactions to being put in this place.

[personal profile] betraitor 2016-10-06 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
An experiment? Yeah, I guess I could see it. It's probably a hell of a lot more likely than us agreeing to these conditions, at least.

[she nods]

I would not have agreed to be here. I think most people would have disagreed too.

Not even if they had some kind of leverage to compel you? A lot of people are too weak that way.
turinged: (hungry for the histories they show me)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-08 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
I do not think I am weak.

[but she does pause for a moment, mulling it over.]

And I do not know what leverage they would have.
