day one
![]() Complex Population: 35 ( October 3 - October 6 ) It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. One of the locked doors on the second floor is now open, so residents can partake in the clean, modest gym if you're the kind to keep in shape. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. character statuses character profiles private conversations |

[alvin's skeptical, but he's not unwilling, for whatever it's worth. he's not really too pleased with the profile situation either—he's taken note of hers, but that doesn't seem to be much of a factor at the moment.
calming her down is probably the best thing he can try to do (even if he's got no confidence he can actually succeed), so sparking a conversation's the only way he knows how to start.]

even still...]
You want a hand? No invasive conversation included.

[ Elizabeth was already walking. Her eyes looking upwards until they stopped at one singular airvent. It was tiny around the size that a cat could crawl into, but, it's worth a shot. ]
It's a damn shame these vents are tiny, but I was curious about something. Do you mind giving me a lift?
[ As in, help her up to look inside of the vents because we didn't get enough of this shit in Cradle, honestly. ]
no subject
but really, alvin's just looking up at the vent, tilting his head to the side.]
Do you think you could fit very far in there? [he's not expecting her to be able to crawl through it, no—but if she could get a clear shot of where it leads, they may be onto something.]
You just tell me what kind of lift you want, and you got it. [as in, he's not going to get touchy feely; he's sure he could lift her from the waist just fine, but also assumes setting her on his shoulders may be the easier way to go.
he's being a gentleman about it, at least?]
no subject
Either way, she shakes her head. ]
No, not with this waistline. But I may be able to see something like the layout - where this leads.
[ Teasing, but she offers him to come closer. If he does, she'll motion for him to offer his hand so she could step into it and he could, of course, lift her up.
No titties in the face or upskirt shots, just pressed up against you a bit. ]
Ready?
[ She says with compact mirror and lighter in hand. ]
no subject
[which is to say that he absolutely agrees with her here, so he's willing to put forth his own effort to help. he's good at reading the cues too, so he does offer his hand as needed.]
Whenever you are.
[all he needs to do is lend his strength to give her a boost, after all. elizabeth's the one prepared to do the brunt of the work, so it's not like he needs to prepare much else.]

Doesn't matter, she'll go ahead and open her compact mirror to see any reflection. She barely gets a glimpse of light, but it's dull - likely to be a refracture of the opening in the room nearest. She'll light her lighter for further confirmation. ]
Not... not seeing anything - [ Elizabeth says in frustration, as if she should have knew the plan was stupid. ] - They're connected in a central passageway but - ugh.
[ Slapping the lid of her lighter and compact mirror shut, she looks down to him. ]
Couldn't see where it was leading.

but with elizabeth confirming that there isn't all that much to see up there, he'll shift a bit so he can more easily set her back down on the ground, crouching a bit to account for their height difference.]
Well, I guess that means we'll have to seek out Plan B. If we got in there's gotta be a way out. It's probably hidden if it's not something we can see already.
[or maybe it's hidden in plan sight?]
no subject
I'm afraid I haven't gotten as far as a Plan B. [ And she's honestly upset about that. There's a helplessness she can't help but shake. ] I don't want to start tearing the place up for secret doors or passageways in brick -
[ She looks more composed, but, she huffs. ]
The profiles that they have on us ... it implies they know us. A lot about us. There's some things I'm not keen on letting people know.

[not looking again, maybe. minor details, right?]
We can start by looking for signs of an exit without tearing the place up. But we're probably not gonna find anything at all if we don't really get a good look. I don't know what they're up to, but I'm sure it's not good.
