day one
![]() Complex Population: 35 ( October 3 - October 6 ) It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. One of the locked doors on the second floor is now open, so residents can partake in the clean, modest gym if you're the kind to keep in shape. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. character statuses character profiles private conversations |

Steve. A pleasure. [He's nothing but polite.] And that's quite alright. I was just brought up in a certain way, it's really just habit at this point.

Oh, yeah? Another rich kid, then? [ he doesn't mean to sound a little scornful, but he does... he's had some bad experiences. ]

[He pauses, before speaking up again in a different tone - it's obvious he's mimicking someone.]
"A true gentleman always helps those in distress, never refuses the request of a beautiful lady, and never leaves a puzzle unsolved." [And he speaks again, but in his normal voice this time.] To my father, that's just his way of life, and he imparted that on me as well.
[Spoilers: IT DIDN'T WORK OUT ALL THAT WELL]

steve snorts at the imitation, even though he's never met the guy's father, obviously. it's just... silly. and what he's saying is also silly. ]
Sure sounds different from my dad. [ suddenly, there's a niggling feeling at the back of his mind - like something happened with his dad - but, for the life of him, he can't remember what it is. He just shakes it off. ] Yours sounds like Sherlock Holmes or something.

Ah, he's a bit similar, I suppose, but he's more the type to shy away from such gruesome things like murder. [He chuckles slightly.] But he's quite adventurous, you know - he travels all over the world in search of new and exciting adventures...and, of course, more puzzles to solve. He's quite the puzzle addict.

[ this sounds fake but okay. Steve raises an eyebrow at Alfendi. ]
Like... what, unsolved mysteries or something? You just said he didn't like murders, though.

[He's pretty much Indiana Jones but just nice and neat and a proper English gentleman.]

[ kind of nerdy, but he can respect it. Traveling must be nice. His own dad was just a grunt worker - and a weaselly one, at that. Selling company info for extra money. Steve doesn't even know where that money went. Well, it doesn't matter now - it got them both put in jail, anyway. ]
So you're into that, too? Is that why you wanna see the axe?

I chose a different path than my father. [He says - somehow, his smile is a little thin.] But that doesn't take away the fact that I'm a man of curiosity. Besides, I've picked up a few things here and there, and I admit, a giant battle are is a rather rare thing to see.

If you can get it off the floor, you can have it.
[ because it is giant. at least they're almost to his room now. ]

[He chuckles - that sounds absurd.]
It can't be that big.

[ something Alfendi will soon see for himself, since Steve's opening the door. Indeed, the axe is just laying on the floor off to the side of the room; judging by the dent in the floor, it might have fallen there. Also, it really is. Huge. ]
