day one
![]() Complex Population: 35 ( October 3 - October 6 ) It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. One of the locked doors on the second floor is now open, so residents can partake in the clean, modest gym if you're the kind to keep in shape. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. character statuses character profiles private conversations |

[Finally, he turns to look direction at Bigby.] But I think your energy would be better suited to helping us escape.

[ though, he wonders if he can get away with dropping a weight in Ciel's arms and watching as he struggles to free himself. was that too much? maybe slightly cruel? who knows. who knows... ]
Glad to hear you have such faith in me and my energy. Maybe I just want to spend some time to punch something, though. That gonna be a problem?

Do you think you're able to bend one of those? [He points to one of the weight-less chrome bars on the machine for bench pressing.]
no subject
also, stop looking at the ring unless you wanna fight him, punk!! ]
... I don't think those are meant to be easily bent. [ he could bend them for sure if he's not as human as he was right now, but alas. ] And I'm not itching to look like an idiot trying. Why?

[And then, like that, he leaves the gym, unhurried. It takes him perhaps five minutes, enough time to get to the rec room and return. When he does, he's holding one of the deck of 52 cards, unopened.]
How fast do you think you are?

[ le fucking EYEROLL. maybe it was meant to be a jab, maybe it wasn't. either way, he was more-so confused than offended at this point. against common sense telling him to leave the rec room and force Ciel to fend for himself, he instead sits at the edge of the boxing ring waiting for him to return.
consider his brows perked even further when he sees him come back with a deck of cards. ]
What is this, an assessment? You're going to need to tell me what you plan on doing before I answer any which way, kid.
[ definitely curious, though, so don't be a dick. >:( ]

A game. [With the deck of cards, Ciel climbs the steps into the ring.] Unless you don't want to "play with a child." [Which seems like something Bigby would say to him.] Get in.
[While he waits, Ciel removes the forty-two cards from the box, then drops the box off to the side and out of the way. He inspects the cards, though there's no particular reason for it, and then he shuffles them with similar intent.] We'll play a game.
To start, I'll throw the first twenty-six cards to see if I can hit your chest or your neck or your head. You can block them if you're fast enough. The other twenty-six, you'll have to dodge completely.
We'll see who is faster.

[ that damned curiosity of his. Bigby squints suspiciously at Ciel as he practically walks underneath the ropes from how small he is. against better judgement, he enters the ring slowly, watching the younger boy remove the cards and begin to explain the game.
said squinting intensifies immediately. ]
You want to throw fifty-two cards at me. ―To see if I'm able to dodge them. ―In a ring surrounded by a running track.
Stop me if I'm getting nowhere.

Are you worried you may lose?
no subject
[ hence why he was talking about the running track. duh, Ciel!! ]
And you win if you get at least one to hit my upper face, I take it?
