day one

DAY 1
Complex Population: 35

( October 3 - October 6 )

It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always.

There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store?

Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. One of the locked doors on the second floor is now open, so residents can partake in the clean, modest gym if you're the kind to keep in shape.

This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction.

Yeah, that one was pretty hard to miss. Seems like someone missed the boat on common courtesy in shared spaces, huh?

[seriously, what a hassle.]

I guess it could be worse, but it's still a pain. [though...] Any idea who might've done it?

Alice was in here yesterday practicing swings with one of them, but I don't think she would have broken it... She was saving it in case we find a window.

[So they can pool cue their way to FREEDOM.]

Other than that, I don't have much of an idea.

She's got pretty quick thinking on her feet if she's ready to bust a window with a pool cue.

[it's impressive, honestly. she seems like she's pretty bright, so it's not like it's that surprising, but still...]

I'm stumped too. Would be nice to know who to blame when things start getting busted up around here. [alvin, it's probably not the same person.]

Someone with a poor temper.

[That could be like 80% of the people here honestly, including himself...]

It makes me wonder why they decided to save just one, though... If they were planning on breaking three, why not all four?

[Mostly he's just joking rather than being genuinely curious.]

Maybe they wanted to save a little fun for themselves.

[he's obviously taking this question very seriously here.]

Whatever the reason, I'm glad at least one of them is still intact. One cue's better than none at all.
modissty: (gentle judgment)

Ah, you're going to curse it at this rate. We'll come back here in a few hours and this one will be broken, too.

[The only answer is clearly to stake out and wait for the culprit to return to the scene of the crime! Since they'd clearly want to break every last one in their fit of breaking-things madness.]

Maybe if we keep an eye out, we can see who our troublemaker is.

[as if the vast majority of people here aren't troublemakers in some way, but alvin's just saying it with a casual shrug. it's fine, this is all fine.]

I'd imagine someone with a penchant for breaking doors and these things would be easy to spot eventually, at least.

[Though he's half joking about that. He knows how the crouching rage hidden temper types are...]

[personal profile] betraitor 2016-10-05 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
Probably. Unless, you know... someone just snaps instead. We've got a pretty wild bunch here, after all.

[alvin just throws idea into the wind, it's fine.]
modissty: (mmmmmmmaybe not)

[personal profile] modissty 2016-10-06 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
I'd hope that no one would snap in a way that would cause much damage, at least.

[OH, SUCH WISHFUL THINKING.]

[personal profile] betraitor 2016-10-06 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the thing about snapping though, isn't it?

[being unpredictable and all.]
modissty: (breaktime)

[personal profile] modissty 2016-10-06 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately... Well, at least it hasn't been anything too large yet. And whoever is doing it will likely trip up eventually and throw a tantrum in view of someone else.

[And then they can put them in the angry baby timeout corner.]

[personal profile] betraitor 2016-10-07 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to goad them out—as long as they don't plan on lashing out at one of us.

[he would like his kneecaps to stay in one piece.]
modissty: (insight)

[personal profile] modissty 2016-10-07 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps we could goad them out without giving them a clear target?

[Or set up someone to be the scapegoat for the good of all. Bye, scapegoat...]
betraitor: (pic#10640179)

[personal profile] betraitor 2016-10-07 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[the scapegoat idea might be a better one, but whatever.]

You have some idea on how to do that?
