trial #3
![]() Complex Population: 27 At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom. "Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level." Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need. As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in. You have until 7PM to discuss and vote for who you think the murderer is. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles Voting will close at 9PM EST on 10/22. voting |

So, again. Pretty obvious we're not going to find out who sent Kei on me tonight. There's no chance in hell they're going to admit to anything, suspicions on me or not. So who do we pin Franziska's on?
Elizabeth brought up that the only people that had problems with her were herself, me and Adam. Then there's the fact that the staff may have caught on to the fact that she could have been more than a lawyer being cocky after Judy's admittance of other roles coming into play.
I don't think Ms. Elizabeth would have gone and killed someone after what she had to do in the cage before. Fucking argue me if you think otherwise. And me... well. [ looks at the plethora of wounds he has. ] Adam's shown he doesn't really give a shit what direction this goes either way. He's been checked and nothing substantial was there physically.
What else do we have to go on? Time's a-tickin'.

[Franziska wasn't subtle, either, but it seems so counter-productive to Guy]

Anyways, it seems too obvious, yes! But I suspect he does know something, staff or not. We'll see if he'll be anything other than dumb and stubborn for the rest of the trial.
no subject
But yeah, I can see that. I think he'd more willing to share if people stopped accusing him, in any rate.

As far as whoever we vote for, I do believe we should be straight forward with our choice. If anyone cares, I could give the name Franziska told me but I'm not going to claim she's absolute.

You may as well give the name.

[Because yeah, Dojima agrees Adam is not a good option]
It would give us a starting point, at least, something to discuss.

But if everyone seems to agree - the person was Alvin. And like I said, I did want to give him some benefit of the doubt, but his reason of voting for Franziska was less than impressive.

I still think Cici's suspicious.
[She's thought that for awhile though, so.]
And I don't think we can vote for Adam. Supposedly, Luke sent him a... message? Of some kind? From beyond the grave. Either he lost it and imagined the whole thing, or he's actually communicating with him somehow. But it's not like he's going to communicate with any of us, so we need to keep him alive for now just in case.

[ Elizabeth is truly curious. Not that this is payback for suggestion she strip, nbd. ]

[She shrugs lightly.]
You know when we first got here and we were looking around? I went to the apartment he was in because I heard my name get called twice before I knew there were two of us. Cici was in there, and he was super adamant that he was going to get the bed.
...but after Charles turned up dead, Cici said that Charles was the one who slept in the bed the first night. It's a petty reason to kill someone, but I've seen people killed for pettier.
He's also... well, you heard him, didn't you? The first trial, he pointed fingers pretty fast. He also seems like he's really careful to contribute but not contribute too much. He shares opinions sometimes, but not too much. He's trying a little too hard not to stand out.
And then, earlier, when we started talking about suspects, he distracted us all by having us check for injuries. It was pretty subtle, but it was the same kind of distraction we thought that staff members might be doing to throw us off the scent.

Bigby's words take her back and luckily, she's sitting next to him and giving him a elbow in his good side. ]
Don't fight my battles. [ Especially when they were both suspected, what the heckie? ] Adam would be too obvious, would it not? A classic revenge story of a lover scorned. He - ...I'm not sold...
no subject
[ Luke apparently did not get that memo. oops. ]
And I wouldn't have thought you'd want to get so close to me after―
[ after they were shipped together. yep. ]
Obvious, yeah. But it doesn't mean it's not possible.
no subject
[ Narrowing her eyes a bit, she realizes what he suggests and relaxes her gaze. Sorry she scoots away. ]
Right, I'll remember not to get close when you bleed out again.
