DAY 10 (morning) Complex Population: ??? It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The viewing stage is open. It seems that someone was busy during the night. — This post is for the second day as defined in the schedule. [ The Viewing Stage is open, but there's not that much to investigate. The overhead door hides a small stage that you can look down on. Half a landing down, there's an odd, laboratory-like room. You can see doors on the left and right sides of the room, and the right side seems to have a two-way mirror.

However, you might notice the bodies first.

Guy Cecil and Alice have been killed. ]

[He wakes up, and practically half the apartment is gone. Alfendi immediately rushes out, looking panicked. No. No, no, no, they couldn't have been...]

[And then he gets to the Viewing Stage, and his heart drops like a stone to the depths of his stomach.]

No! [It can't be, it can't be, he can't be seeing this-] NO, DAMN IT, NO!!!

[He's just banging on the wall, every inch of him trembling in sheer anger.]

I-I can't even go after that idiot like you told me to-! [He clutches his face.] FUCK.

[Give him a moment, he's going to eventually try to calm down and take a look at how they died. But seriously, this is the last thing from okay.]

[ From up on the stage, it's not clear, though there's a lot of blood. Someone will have to go into the theater to investigate further. ]

[He almost looks like he's going to collapse. His fist is clenched so tight it's almost pale, his fingernails digging deep into his palm. No...after everything, she died, and now...he can't handle this.]

[There's someone who can, though.]

[It's a fast switch - his other self releases his fist, gazing down into the operating theater with a passive, almost pleasant expression. The look in his eyes is not pleasant.]

Ah, well, now. [He'll now look for someone around, anyone alive, and gesture for them to come into the Viewing Stage.]

[His eyelid is twitching, slightly, but he's still smiling. He always smiles.]

Could you help me get down there, if you could?

[honestly, Alice? is still shell-shocked. He can only really numbly stumble over to Alfendi, blinking blearily at the bodies. Dead? Alice is dead?

How is that even... possible? She was so fierce and strong and intense, it can't even--

Oh... oh, right, here...

[It's said equally distantly, as if he's not all there, but he'll at least help get him down there if he needs it.]

Thank you, Alice. Do lower me down carefully, would you? I'm not that heavy, I promise.

[How can his tone be so light after seeing a thing like this? Who knows.]

[He'll just gesture for Alice to hold his hand, stepping to the edge of the hole in the wall as he starts to lower himself down.]

It's a terrible thing, isn't it?

[At the very least, Alice? can lower him down without too much trouble; he can manage that much.]

I... it can't be--this can't be real. Alice would kick someone's ass if they tried to kill her. So she has to be-- [okay...right?]

[ As everyone wakes up and starts to investigate, you might notice two faces missing from the crowd. Elizabeth and Bigby Wolf are nowhere to be found.

And because this location is not necessarily one that's going to be obvious to investigate, who would like to head into the stairwells? No more than two people for this investigation, please. ]

[ yeah sure fine shijima is in. she's missing like THREE FUCKING ROOMIES may as well look for them. ]

[Aaaaand, yeah. Angel's following Shijima once she spots her, curious. Take us to the yiffing spot, murder gods.]

[ They'll have to head up for a while. There's nothing in the stairwells until they start to head up towards the third floor. As they start to head up, they might notice something red staining the tops of the stairs on the landing in between floors.

Also, Elizabeth is clearly in view from this angle as they head up the stairs. ]

[ goddamnit. shijima had been climbing quietly, but there's a snarl when she spots elizabeth.

she heads closer to the body, although with a good amount of caution given >bomb bodies. she's going to be looking for traps and proceeding at a steady speed rather than rushing over. if she makes it without seeing anything suspicious, however, she'll give elizabeth a once over. ]

... Oh, no.

[Alas, she doesn't quite snarl like Shijima. But she sure is feeling incredibly upset once she spots the scene. With the blood, she can only assume it's a corpse.

She'll be similarly as cautious as Shijima, keeping an eye out for anything that might suggest a bomb or trap... but as long as nothing is triggered as they get close to Elizabeth? She'll start looking for any obvious weapons while Shijima gives the body a once over.]

[ Luckily, there are no traps today! Nor are there any weapons around...

Once they make it up the stairs, they'll also see Bigby laying nearby. His body is positioned rather awkwardly as compared to Elizabeth's, like he fell down the stairs and didn't catch himself. Curiously, there's not very much blood on the landing, but as they look up to the third floor's landing, they'll see more blood at the top of the stairs. ]

[After all of the bodies have been investigated, Judy's voice sounds out over the speaker system.]

Attention, residents. Guy Cecil, the second member of your medical team, is dead. Elizabeth, one member of your think tank, is dead. Bigby Wolf, Employee ID VTSCI62270923, is dead.

[and now that i'm back in for the night

So at some point between finding the bodies and heading into the courtroom for the trial, Alice, Alfendi, and Alice? will have to make their way out of the operating theater unless they want to get got by the decontamination process. That would be a dumb way to go, huh.

So here's Alice, sitting down before the trial actually starts and trying to figure out what the hell else happened while she was asleep.]

...anyone want to fill me in?

[She missed the announcement, someone get her up to speed.]

[Heeeeeey. Since Dojima once again was unable to investigate, mainly because both of his legs are injured and haven't healed well enough yet, he does know a bit through the announcements]

Things got bloody for both sides last night.

Elizabeth and Cecil were from that group that's working against staff. Cecil was the other healing person - von Karma's partner - while Elizabeth was part of some sort of think tank team.

Wolf got killed too. He was a staff member.

And it seems you're not dead. [He's glad, though he won't admit it. It was frustrating, not being able to get into the operating theater this time.]

[Alice's eyes go wide and she shakes her head in disbelief.]

Elizabeth and... Elizabeth and Bigby are dead?

[Guy being dead doesn't come as a surprise, really - she woke up down there where his corpse was, after all - but her expression goes slack as she takes in what Dojima is saying.]

No. No, that can't be right...

[Leo gets her attention a moment later, and she takes a breath.]

...I swore I wouldn't die here.

There's no mistake: they're dead. [That may have been a bit too blunt, so...] Sorry.

[Besides, there's something else]

It's a long shot, but just in case: do you remember anything about the person or people who attacked you?

[Normally, Alice doesn't mind bluntness. She can be more than a little blunt herself. But she doesn't like it in the wake of hearing about Bigby and Elizabeth's deaths, and she narrows her eyes, drawing back from Dojima and withdrawing in on herself.]

Who killed them? Who?

[...she's mad. And unfortunately for Dojima, she doesn't trust him.]

It could have been any of you. Any of you...

[The suspicious glares don't go unnoticed, at least]

Save your suspicious stares for the trial. It isn't worth it to think of who did it until you hear more about it.

[Dojima already has one definite suspect, though, at least on Bigby's death, but that's because he isn't aware Elizabeth mentioned a female attacker.

Not that he'll say aloud who he thinks did it]

[Leo, on the other hand, she trusts more than she trusts Dojima - the look she gives him is wary, but not outright hostile.]
