DAY TEN
![]() Complex Population: ??? It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The viewing stage is open. It seems that someone was busy during the night. This post is for the second day as defined in the schedule. This post is for investigation and general mingling before the trial that takes place in the afternoon IC. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

H-Help him- He didn't do - do this -
[ Bigby. Elizabeth gurgles through her own blood and spit collecting through her voice. If she's flipped over, her eyes were glazed and half-dead. Lifeless, honestly. Elizabeth chokes a bit - the bleeding focused from her nose and her body not exactly graceful as she tries to roll to her side. More like, flop. ]
S-sghk... she did - did this -
[ Her pained voice is enough to gain attention, isn't it? She looks up to Shijima and Angel, breathing heavily. ]

shijima lets angel deal with elizabeth - because elizabeth said "help him" and she's apparently still willing to listen to elizabeth. she will check to see if bigby is beyond her help or no, while shooting over her shoulder: ]
See if you can get a name from her.
[ she kind of doubts it. but it's worth a try. who is "she"? ]
no subject
There's nothing she can do for her. She knows that much. But almost on a whim, she places her hand over Elizabeth's own. Allows her this last comfort, even if she's not quite sure she can feel it.]
Elizabeth... If you can hear me, who is she? Who did this to you and Bigby?
[... She doubts she'll get a name, but it's certainly worth a try.]

Elizabeth groans out, her hands covered in blood, her chest and nose/mouth wet with the substance. As Angel tries to comfort her, there's a wince as she looks over, her eyes parting to try and sit up further. She tenses up, her head pounding in a forceful headache. Elizabeth sobs only slightly, trying to steady her breathing as she looks to Shijima, then Bigby.
Every time she tried to open her mouth, her head hurts - the answer failing so badly but instead she croaks: ]
He didn't want to... to hurt me. Don't blame him - he knows this is all -
[ Elizabeth tenses up, trying to sit up as she feels a throbbing ache in her head. ]

she doesn't say he's beyond help, but she catches angel's eye and shakes her head. ]

Nobody will blame him, friend. Bigby is [was] a good man. We know that.
[That said, she gently squeezes her hand and tries to keep her from getting up. While she's at it, she will also try to assess her wounds. Is it only her nose that's bleeding, or is there any other obvious source for all this blood? Any bruises or signs of struggle?]
Please — don't strain yourself. You're injured. [More than injured, really.] Shijima will take care of him, but... We need to know, friend. Who did this? We'll make certain they get their just reward.
no subject
Her nose is the only source of trauma - it's blood since dried up a fair amount but there's no substantial bruising. The only thing to note that Elizabeth's lips sag at their ends, as if she hasn't full control of them and her motor skills seem desperately delayed. She cries out as she sits up - ]
I'll take you to her - we just have to get -
[ Bigby.
Elizabeth has so many questions and suddenly, her body tenses up. She doesn't look to him, but her eyes look to Angel. There's one last thunderous ache in her brain and Elizabeth's hands twitch against Angel's. It's harder to focus and Elizabeth figures what's coming next. She tries - tries to hum something, a song... as her body leans to the girl. She's so tired and her eyes show nothing but a gloss on them before Angel feels her weight press to her.
The tension in Elizabeth's body stops. The pain stops. The grip she has on Angel stops.
Elizabeth is dead. ]

definitely saw liz isn't moving any longer. shijima stands, hesitates for a second, and then goes towards the third floor landing where there was apparently more blood, still cautious.
are there more bodies. don't be more bodies? ]
no subject
That said, Angel tenses up as Elizabeth stops moving. She's been getting increasingly more acquainted with death over the past week, but this is by far the worst experience she's had. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she carefully moves Elizabeth's corpse. Positions her so she looks more peaceful and less like someone who died in a whole lot of pain. It's all she can do.]
... I'm so sorry, friend.
[Elizabeth can't hear them anymore. She knows this, but she still feels the need to apologize for being so useless. Ugh. She gives Elizabeth's corpse one last look over just in case there's anything on her to loot, or a less visible injury she missed, but... Once that's done, she stands up and turns towards the stairs.]
Shijima, have you found anything else?
no subject
Angel won't find anything of note on the body. Elizabeth's only apparent injuries are a small injury to her head and the large apparent nosebleed.
Shijima will find several things on the landing! Fortunately, none of them is extra bodies. She'll find that the third floor's door is still locked. The blood trail near the door, if inspected, looks like the result of someone being dragged. There also appears to be small, evenly-spaced markings of some sort in the trail.]
no subject
More of the crime scene, I think...
no subject
That said, she furrows her brows and moves towards the third floor's landing, taking in the scene.]
... I suppose an incriminating message written in blood would be too much to ask for.
[And just to make sure: the blood trail goes through the door? Or is it just near it?]
no subject
Inspection of the markings will show that they appear to be some sort of treadmarks, similar in pattern to tank treads.]
no subject
Something not human was here.
[ unless a human can make tiny tank treadmarks. ]
no subject
Whatever made this, it couldn't have moved by itself. There are no robots in this Complex as far as we're aware.
[But there are no obvious footprints in the area, right? Also... does the trail look fresh or is it similar to the blood on Bigby and Elizabeth?]
no subject
no subject
[ honestly, she doesn't even know (or. care.) ]
But what purpose would a human have for this kind of odd mark? They're too small to really indicate pushing some sort of machine...probably.
no subject
[No footprints. No hints as to what this is. Great. How big, exactly, are the marks though?]
Elizabeth mentioned a female did... well, this. [The double murder.] If we eliminate the two of us, that would leave Ava, Rose, Alice and, I suppose, Judy.
[Though she doubts it was Alice.]

[ SO, AVA OR JUDY. :)
shijima you can't just discount people because you like them but guess what she sure did. THOUGH SHE ALSO DOESN'T DISPUTE ANGEL'S INNOCENCE because she also likes angel. ]
