DAY FOUR (morning)
![]() Complex Population: 32 It's 8AM, and rather than waking naturally, you awake to the sound of an odd tone ringing through the intercom. As you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always, Judy's voice speaks up a few moments after. "A death has occurred. Safety Protocol 6227-A is now active." That ominous message might prompt you to leave your room more quickly. After all, the viewing stage is open. It seems that someone was busy during the night. This post is for the second day as defined in the schedule. This post is for investigation and general mingling before the trial that takes place in the afternoon IC. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |
bad alfendi time...
Hi, uh, culprit here. [She waves, completely uninjured (gauntlet aside, fucking RIP.)] I'm sorry about the wound - do you need any help bandaging it?
[Politely ignoring his threats to shove glass down her throat rn.]

[Is he stomping on over? He is totally stomping on over. His free hand is balled into a fist, his gaze filled with a fury that does not fit his lanky frame.]
Are you a complete IDIOT?! Look at you, all nice and unwounded, how wonderfully fortunate for you! Here I was, just completely minding my own business, and then guess what happens? YOU happen.
[He presses an index finger into her sternum, leering into her face.]
Fuck. YOU.
no subject
[She slaps his index finger away (with her non-gauntlet equipped hand, mercifully), staring him down.]
You have every right to be mad at me, but I was trying to get into the operating theater so we could better investigate the body. A look from afar won't give us enough information. I apologize for not giving proper warning, but I won't apologize for my actions.
I also don't appreciate being called an idiot.
no subject
[He draws his hand away momentarily - it isn't a terrible gash at all, but apparently it's enough to rile him up like this.]
And I'll call you an idiot as much as I want to, idiot.
[It seems like he's about to continue just insulting her, but something she says strikes him, and he furrows his brows, confused.]
What body? [He actually sort of shoves past her to look down into the room, sneering down with some surprise like it's the first time he's seen the thing.]
Ah, would you look at that. Another one...?
no subject
Yeah, exactly. Another kid at that. If we're going to be voting to kill someone tonight, I want something to actually go off of.
no subject
[He chuckles darkly, his hand returning back to his wound. It seems he's more or less distracted by the body, now.]
Ah, but they're cowards, aren't they? How boring. Going after the children who can't fight back as well as the adults? Where's the risk, huh? The challenge? I'd say whoever did this is even more of a moron than you, and that's already saying something.
[alfendi............................]

[Was he just putting on a front the last time they talked, because this is a complete 180.]
no subject
I'm not amused. Hardly at all, are you kidding me? I've been blacking out for god knows how long and it seems every bloody time I wake up, there's a new dead body. My damn brain is going haywire, there's a murderer just lazily murdering like no one's business, I keep losing memories like my skull's a sieve...
[whatchu talkin' bout, willis]
So yes, something is probably "wrong with me"! Wow, excellent guess there, Sherlock!
no subject
Okay, look, if you want to keep calling me an idiot then go ahead. I don't really give a crap what your opinion of me is. But your attitude isn't helpful and is seriously wrong. Or maybe you were always this way, and you were just putting on a nice guy front when I talked to you last time.
no subject
[He stares at her like she's the one going crazy.]
Another one of you? [He shakes his head.] I've never talked to you in my whole damn life.

[Now he's just confused more than angry - he's even removed his hand, momentarily ignoring the wound to just stare at her incredulously.]
I don't get it. I've seen you on that terminal thing when I wasn't conked out, but other than that...I hardly know any of these people. You're all strangers to me, and yet several of you keep stupidly insisting we've talked. I can't have that bad of a memory.
no subject
[She scowls, a mixture of concerned and miffed beginning to bug her. Her eyes turn to her gauntlet, assessing the damage it took.]
I think whatever is happening to you is serious, but I need to fix my gauntlet right now. I'm sorry about causing your injuries, but your attitude is total crap and I'm not going to keep talking to you while you're acting this way.
1/2
[He suddenly looks very pale - he blinks, blearily, his hand going to his chest.]
Damn you, look, they did something to me. Someone did something to me, I don't know who, but they keep...I don't know, it's like it's intentional, almost. Do they want to keep me like this? What in the world am I doing when I'm-
2/2
...Oh, goodness, me.

[She steps back when he collapses and is about to kneel down to check on him, but then his head jerks back up.]
Hey, are you alright?

Hey, Al, chill out! She did the right thing!
no subject
[Steve. Steve....do not approach the angry nose man. Keep all hands and legs inside the vehicle at all times!]
I don't care if she did the right thing, moron! She could've killed us!
no subject
[ too late, his limbs are outside the vehicle, he's out of control. ]
no subject
Ha, I'd like to see them even try to kill me! They're already cowards, going after children like this. They don't even have the guts to go after someone their own size!

Is he nodding...approvingly?]

Any birds thrown Dickson's way gets a thumbs up. Hey, it's better than the incoherent yelling.]
