DAY FIVE
![]() Complex Population: ??? It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. Even better, it's two rooms! You'll find a dated computer lab, but at least you can play classics like Kid Pix and Ski Free. Connected to the lab is also a small movie theater, though the movie selection only goes up to 1940... Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice something odd about it. The water is red. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

One of them is a baby...
[Think about it, think about it...]
Oh! We could name the baby Jefferey!

[ stop picking on jeff you two he's not even HERE TO HEAR YOU PICKING ON HIM? ]
no subject
Oookay... so, do we want to leave in March, April, May, June, or July? [She wrinkles her nose.] What's the difference?
no subject
...I suppose the weather? [ a SHRUG, she doesn't know jack shit about american weather she always stayed in eastern countries? ]
March.

[They're a banker family because Alice was just defaulting to the first choice before.]
I'm gonna buy everything. ♡

[ SHIJIMA IS TERRIBLE WITH MONEY she just gives any she acquires to kouichi because fuck that noise. do what u want alice shijima won't dissuade you... ]
no subject
...a blizzard? What the heck? I don't want to lose a day! [She huffs and hits the computer.] Stupid game!
no subject
In march?
[ she frowns. ]
no subject
[But she huffs and... keeps on playing it! An oxen gets injured, they rest for a bit, and then they make it to the Kansas river crossing.]
You must cross the river in order to continue. The river at this point is currently 636 feet across, and 5.5 feet deep in the middle.
...so I guess we can ford the river, caulk the wagon and float it, take a ferry, or wait for conditions to improve... I don't want to pay money for a ferry.

[Onward they go! It's apparently rainy the next couple of days they're traveling, but then...]
Are you kidding me?! I have guns! Why wouldn't I just shoot the thief?!
no subject
[ wtf??????????????????? ]
no subject
[WHY ARE THEY LIKE THIS]
no subject
[ ... ]
Jefferey was probably standing watch.
[ BLAMES JEFF ]
no subject
[But since they have to do something... it's time for another river crossing! 250 feet across, 5 feet deep in the middle.]
This one is less wide, so I'm going to ford it.
...damn it.
no subject
[ SHIJIMA......................she's frowning. ]
So it's a matter of depth for fording, I suppose...
no subject
[This game makes no sense.
Onward they go, though. There's another dang blizzard, and then they arrive at Fort Kearney and... just keep going because Britt's an idiot and forgot to hit yes to look around. Now they're at Chimney Rock. Time to try and trade, Alice wants more oxen to make up for the ones that got lost and drowned.
373 bullets for an ox...]
I'm gonna do it. We have plenty of other food and apparently we can't shoot people, so what's the point of having ammunition?
no subject
[ SHIJIMA AGREES shijima should. not agree? ]
no subject
...should we stop to look at it or just keep going?
no subject
[ wHY IS THAT YOUR GO TO IDEA OF WHAT TO DO AT A GRAVESITE ]
no subject
Or tries to, anyway.]
What idiot was playing with fire in the wagon?! [PROBABLY JEFF. But six miles later, they make it to Fort Laramie! They can buy supplies, thank god.]
More oxen, some more food... anything else, Shijima? We don't really need more ammo and I think we have enough sets of clothes already since Bigby died.
[They could buy some wagon axles, though.]
no subject
[ ... ]
Can we trade Jeff for supplies?
no subject
It won't let me.
[SIGH. She'll just have to pay for the axles, then, which she does... and then, onward to Independence Rock! ...somehow they make it there without incident and that's boring, so onward again to South Pass.
On the way they find an abandoned wagon with three sets of clothing.]
...huh.
[Their luck is actually pretty decent...? They make it to the pass without problems, too.]
Do we want to go for the Green River crossing or go to Fort Bridger?
no subject
[ AND SHE HATES TALKING 2 PEOPLE SO SHE WON'T SUGGEST TALKING 2 NPCS... ]
no subject
[TO THE RIVER THEY GO.]
Oh, this one is almost 22 feet deep, so I guess we shouldn't try to ford it. [...] I still don't want to pay for a ferry. Should we try and float the wagon again?
