DAY TWO (morning)
![]() Complex Population: 34 It's 8AM, and rather than waking naturally, you awake to the sound of an odd tone ringing through the intercom. As you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always, Judy's voice speaks up a few moments after. "A death has occurred. Safety Protocol 6227-A is now in effect. Protocol now available on Complex terminals." That ominous message might prompt you to leave your room more quickly. You can check out the terminal, where a new file is available, but as you head into the atrium, you might notice something else. The viewing stage is open. It seems that someone was busy during the night. This post is for the second day as defined in the schedule. This post is for investigation and general mingling before the trial that takes place in the afternoon IC. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

[though even alvin seems to be stating it in a matter-of-fact manner, rather than because he's putting his belief in it.]
Hell, for all we know, someone held a gun to our heads and held something big over us. We're screwed for answers about that if we can't even remember how and why we're here to begin with.

I think…they call that blackmail. [It's said kind of faintly, but just like that he pulls himself together again.] So what, we're supposed to play along because they maybe threatened us into cooperating and took our memories? Actually that sounds more likely than lying to us to get us to willingly agree.

[he's just saying.] Those profiles weren't coincidental, and I don't think this is much different.
[he's still not sure what it means, though. are they supposed to be turning against each other? is there someone in cahoots with the ones in charge in their numbers that did this?] There are still too many variables to know for sure, we're going to have to look into things more.

First thing's first. We should maybe ask people about the kid? I didn't know him. [You can't know everybody after a couple of days.]

[he shifts slightly, running a hand through his hair and keeping his gaze off luke for the moment.]
Yeah, guess we shouldn't. I didn't talk to the kid, so I don't know anything about him aside from what it said on his profile.

That might not be a bad place to start too. Reread his profile, see if there's anything on it that might lead to some kind of conclusion. Couldn't hurt, could it?
