[Much like two days before, Alice isn't in apartment 7 when everyone starts to wake.

Unlike two days before, though, she's not down in the operating theater. Rather, she seems to be in the hall - at least, that's where her voice is coming from.]

Everyone! Wake up and get out here now, we don't have any time to waste!

[Anyone who exits the apartments will see her coming down the hall, carrying someone on her back while somebody else trails along behind.]

[And on her back is... the other Alice. Or, well, Jeff, really. Alice is clearly the superior Alice here, Jeff is resigned to being Jeff as he's piggybacked with her. One of his legs is very clearly badly injured, but mostly he's complaining, so at least he's alive.]

Jeeze, are you sure there wasn't any other way we could do this? This is killing my pride as an attractive male protagonist.

[ It's definitely not an hour later when the power suddenly comes back on. In fact, they've probably only just finished their conversation when all the power returns, and the rumble of the back-up generator stops.

Of course, there's silence, since Judy's consciousness is being held in your hands.

TOPIC: what to do with judy's brain

this is for everyone not just the dead

it looks like removing her brain bought those of us who are still alive some time without her breathing down our necks
but it's also wrecked some things for the people who are dead

we're going to have to figure out what to do with it and since it's going to affect us all in some way or another, i think we should put it to a vote

so everyone, say what you want us to do with it and why

When you go outside, it's going to be a hard world. I won't lie to you. But you'll be fine. I'm not sure what I can say and can't without hurting you, but I know the world outside of this one better than any idiot staff member (Rhys) does. You may think it's bad compared to what you had before, but it's not unlivable.

-Bring provisions to get you through the first few days. Get ready to ration.

-Find a way to get the weapons Judy supplied for executions. It'll be useful for hunting wildlife and killing assholes out there that will want to take your shit.

-Cook any meat you hunt. It'll help with decontamination, though you might feel a little queasy. Sucks but that's life.

-There are many towns and villages out there that will take friendly people. Just be on your best behavior, offer to help out in return for money and shelter. A lot of these places are just doing the best that they can to get by, and will always welcome people willing to work with them.

-Find friendly organizations that are receptive to recruits. These large bodies are always looking for more people to join their cause. Just make sure you look for the right causes.

The world is not as desolate as you have been told. It's not always friendly, but there is hope. There is good. You will need to seek it out. I only wish I could come with you all to help, but if that's not possible then so be it. I could never return to my life the way it was anyway the way I am now.

[Alice isn't sticking around, though - she's never been any good at goodbyes, so once she sends this, she steps away from the terminal and ducks into her apartment and Leo's to grab a couple of things.]

I am going to return Judy's brain to the control room. Without her, those who have been transferred into data won't remain for very long.

Plans for escape had been tardy with how things had been orchestrated, and for that, I apologize.

Gratitude should go to Rhys for the engineering, as well as both Alices.

[Alice has taken some time to step away from the terminal and calm down after her argument with Rhys - but time is a luxury they don't really have, and after a moment to catch her breath, she addresses the rest of the living.]

...okay, everyone. We're going to have to stop standing around if we want to escape.

But like Jacky [And Rhys, but she's petty and not acknowledging that] said, if you don't want to face what's out there or if you'd just rather stay with the rest of the people who have died, dying before we leave will take you there.

I don't mind having blood on my hands, so if it's what you want, I'll kill you. But if you want to live, then let's get moving and do what we have to do. Once we leave this place we can't come back.

She heads for the stairs, ready to get this over with.]

Returning Judy

[ Thanks, Ciel. For the dead, their normal activities and setting will return, and for Ciel? There's a few moments where the screens flicker uncertainly, but then Judy's voice filters out. ]
