trial #5

DAY 10 (afternoon)
Complex Population: 15

At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom.

"Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level."

Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need.

As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in.

You have until 7PM to discuss and vote for who you think the murderer is.

As far as I'm aware, we didn't. But I would assume at the same time as all the others.

[So... after 1AM, maybe 2AM.]

I'm wondering if they were simultaneous, or done by the same person... but you said there were inhuman tracks near Elizabeth, right? So maybe not. [Are they dealing with two killers in one night, again?]

Yes, there were. It's possible Guy's killer is not the same as Elizabeth and Bigby's. And while it may be possible that Bigby was Alice and Guy's attacker, I find it unlikely.

Bigby would not have attacked me.

[She says it firmly. Of this, she's absolutely certain.]

I think you're right. I had my suspicions about him being a staff member, but I don't think he would've agreed to harm you. Or Elizabeth, for that matter. [Who they already know he didn't kill, so.]
selfsufficiency: (and i can kill you)

I think it's strange that they were both killed together. They were technically on opposite sides...

[Romeo and Juliet: the 62 yiffing edition]

If they were breaking the rules somehow, then someone might have had an interest in punishing them for it.

[She glances in the direction of the bench and the terminal as she speaks.]

Elizabeth told us not to blame him...and it's not like he ever harmed us in particular. If anything, he had plenty of opportunities and chose not to.

[ she's not really pissed at bigby? so w/e. ]
selfsufficiency: (might've hecked up a little)

Exactly. So whoever did it was probably mad that he wasn't using any of those opportunities...

[She's not pissed at Bigby, either. But they have to figure out who would have had a reason to want both Elizabeth and Bigby dead.]
