trial #4
![]() Complex Population: 19 At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom. "Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level." Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need. As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in. You have until 7PM to discuss and vote for who you think the murderer is. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles Voting will close at 9PM EST on 10/29. voting |

I had to... make sure the circumstances were right, I guess? And I had to remember what they were in the first place. Something like that.
no subject
And what made the circumstances right? You changed your tune pret-ty quickly, even during this trial.
no subject
[ a sheepish grin here. ]
But, no, even if I did... stuff, I didn't do everything tonight so you're still letting three killers get away. That's fine with me, since like, whatever?
[ shrugs ]
Aaanway, I sort of reacted irrationally to something and then it paid off in the end. Or, well, it's paying off. Look, I'm not good at the vague thing, okay? I'm just, uh, not.
no subject
no subject
No. It's not the right time. I can answer anything you want later, as long as you send me to get executed first.

[Alice studies him for a few moments.]
You'll have to give us a show of good faith, first. Because once you're in there, only one person is coming out alive, right? You could clam up and not tell us anything.
...remove Angel's collar. That should be something you're skilled enough to do, right?
no subject
No. I can't do that. I mean, I can like... I have the skill but I can't, it'd ruin, uh. Stuff. And I -- well, I already talked to Judy about what's going to happen in that room. I promise I can answer things when I'm in there.
no subject
She already turned on you once by letting people hack in to see what you asked for in the commissary.
no subject
No, she didn't turn on me. She was just doing what she had to, I'm not mad at Judy for that. If you ask her something, she'll tell you it. You just have to ask her. I forgot to ask her if someone already knew what I requested, that was my fault. When it comes to Judy, you just -- you just have to know how to talk to her.
So, no. I'm not removing Angel's collar. I know what I'm doing, Alice.

[Wait what? That brings some conclusions to Dojima, but...]
Did you, or did you not kill someone last night? It's likely you're the one who stabbed several of us, and it's likely you're the one who rigged two of the bodies to explode.
But did you kill someone? Please don't be vague about this.
no subject
[ oh! ]
Oh, I also killed the other girl, the one before Adam, whatever her name was. And no one... voted for me? Which was weird. I thought I was really suspicious and then, nothing. I'm kind of -- I'm kind of upset about that, honestly. What is wrong with you people?
no subject
He has a name. If you're going to admit to killing him then at least fucking use it. [ it's safe to say someone better intervene before Rhys does get run through with one or two swords. ]
no subject
I didn't bother learning it, actually. And, uh, Judy -- can you just shock the guy if he gets too close to me? I'm not really into dealing with his... whatever right now. I want this trial to go on like it's supposed to.

Ookurikara. Don't. Just wait another hour, and Rhys will be dead.
no subject
Whatever. It's what he wants so I almost don't want to give it to him but I hope Mitsutada runs him through when he sees him. [ Honestly he would brave whatever shocks might come to get his hands on Rhys at this point but he'll sigh exasperated for now. ] Asshole deserves worse.

Just what kind of game are you and the others playing, huh? What kind of justification are you giving yourselves to get away with this kind of idiocy?
no subject
Dude, no. First of all, chill out. Secondly, I'll tell you everything later? Once you vote for me.

then closes his mouth ]
Uh, definitely not the last one. But not really the first one? Kind of, something. A thing. Depends on your point of view.

no subject
Dude, I don't fucking know.
no subject
If you don't even know, then maybe you shouldn't be killing people over it, you idiot!
no subject
That's not the part I don't know anything about, man!
no subject
[ he's mad he ever thought your arm was cool, rhys!! ]
You getting a lot of money for this or something? Does that make it worth it?
