DAY 4 (afternoon) Complex Population: 32 At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom. "Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level." Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need. As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in. I may be wrong about this, but if the staff are indeed hiding among us, wouldn't they be trying to sabotage our discussions?

Yes. They could easily be throwing us wrong ideas.

Or distracting from the real issues, which happened last time and led to Diva's execution because she was the easiest target.

It's not like we have a lot of time to figure this thing out as it is. All it would take is one long, wrong trail.

So do you think we should be working from as many angles as possible instead of getting caught up on one particular thing?

Or perhaps keep an eye out on people who are too eager to help.

I would be surprised if that weren't the case. It's in their best interest to keep us distracted until we're out of time.

We ran out of time last time, too. We'll either have to learn how to think faster than this or just outpace them altogether.

That may be easier said than done. But doable, if we coordinate our efforts efficiently. We wasted most of our time during the last trial arguing about abstaining or not.

If it were meant to be easy, we wouldn't have lost innocent people the first time around.

I'll do my best to look out for sabotage, as well.

If that's the case, then should we be suspicious of every single new piece of evidence?

[ because while that seems as if it'll get them nowhere, it's not as if they know how to pick out the difference between right and wrong evidence at the moment. ]

Not quite. But if we could weed out those who argue the longest and most vehemently toward nowhere, we might be able to get ahead. Or get somewhere, at least.

Well, Rhys is certainly making quite the fuss, enough to distract people...he may just be that scared, though.

Then, have you seen anyone like that? I know that there are some who've been arguing for a while now, but I'm not sure if they've been arguing towards nowhere.

That's a possibility... but they might give themselves away if they're too obvious about it.
