DAY FOUR (morning)
![]() Complex Population: 32 It's 8AM, and rather than waking naturally, you awake to the sound of an odd tone ringing through the intercom. As you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always, Judy's voice speaks up a few moments after. "A death has occurred. Safety Protocol 6227-A is now active." That ominous message might prompt you to leave your room more quickly. After all, the viewing stage is open. It seems that someone was busy during the night. This post is for the second day as defined in the schedule. This post is for investigation and general mingling before the trial that takes place in the afternoon IC. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

Okay but what will happen if Veronica punches the glass wall with her gauntlet equipped, putting all her strength into it? Because that's what she's totally gonna do in hopes of breaking it to actually get to the body.]

When Veronica punches the glass, a deep crack forms under where her fist hit. It seems like if she punches it again, it might break. ]

Adam's injury will depend on his adherence to workplace safety. If he's wearing closed toed shoes, then he'll only get a bruise from a rather large piece of glass falling on his foot. However, if he's not, he'll lose his pinky toe.
Alfendi will get sliced across his nose, because I'm not sure what you really expected here. At least he didn't lose the tip of it, since if RNG wasn't kind, that was absolutely going to happen.
Alice will get hit in the head by a piece of glass. It's likely to make her bleed, though the cut won't be bad at all. What's far worse is that she might lose some of her hair in the process...
Angel's upper arm will be hit by a piece of glass, which will embed itself enough into her arm to stick out. Have fun taking that one out!
Bigby will get his dick sliced off. Unfortunate. Which is a joke, because Bigby will be cut across one of his palms. The gash won't be deep enough to require stitches, but if you've never sliced open your palm, let me just say this is probably the most annoying place to get injured.
Ciel will get a minor slice just above his patched eye. While it's not severe, he won't be able to wear his eyepatch because of the bandage (assuming he actually bandages it) for a week or two.
Dojima will be the unluckiest of the bunch. A large piece of glass will fall and hit his leg, embedding itself rather deeply. While it's not life-threatening, it's going to bleed quite a bit, and it's certainly not going to feel great.
Jack will get cut across his face. This is not at all the universe laughing at him, but it is absolutely me, Christy, laughing at him.
Elizabeth will get cut by a piece of falling glass on her brow. The cut will be deep enough that it needs stitches, but it won't be a large gash overall.
Veronica will be miraculously free of injury, but a large piece of glass will fall on her gauntlet and damage it. While it'll still give her punches the kind of force you'd expect from brass knuckles, it'll no longer be able to deliver glass-shattering punches.
Rose will get her forearm sliced by a piece of glass. It's just deep enough that she should consider stitches, and several inches long.
If you missed the plurk to opt-in to the randomized injuries, you can opt-in for a small injury of your choice.
Of course, one the chaos dies down, there is something important returned by Veronica's actions: the operating theater is now accessible. The doors to the left and right of the room cannot be unlocked (or punched open), but there's also an additional change to the setting as a result of opening the theater...
If the room is "contaminated" in any way (meaning blood, bodily fluids, corpses, etc...), the room will enter decontamination procedures from the next period of noon to 4PM. This process is what destroyed Charles's body, and will give everyone a way to dispose of dead bodies. However, because of the process itself, the facility will be locked down for that period whenever this occurs. Whatever room you're in will be locked, and you'll be unable to leave it during this time. This will be announced to the game when it occurs OOC, but not IC.
However, if you're in the atrium when this occurs, you're out of luck. Your character will die if they are in the atrium during the procedure. ]

[well at least the room is open now.]
