DAY THREE

DAY 3 Complex Population: 33 It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. There's a workshop and tinkering lab that you can now access. It includes everything from power tools to more terminals (so no need to crowd around the commissary terminal to chat with Judy anymore). As tempting as all these tools may be, they cannot be removed from the lab. Only completed projects may be taken out of the lab. That said, it seems like someone may have already been here, as there's blood smeared on one of the terminal's keyboards. Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice something floating in the water: a boy's severed foot. — This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. Not at all. The gentlemen in our apartment were nice enough to give up the lounger and bed, so us girls had a really comfy sleep. [Or at least Hitsugi did. If there's any hint of trauma, she doesn't look to be losing sleep over it.]

[She wouldn't be surprised if the more soft-hearted people here did have nightmares, after everything... but she wasn't really expecting Leo to get them, since he sort of was the first person to point the finger at Diva.

Yes, please! [She's copied the list of names off the terminals, and after some skimming she locates Adam's name, adding a smiley face next to the doodle.

I don't know everyone here very well, but I'd be sad if more bad things happened.

I'm just trying to memorize everyone's names. [she adds a couple of spikes to doodle!Guy's hair] The little drawings help me remember.

[Straight to the point, isn't she? If Hitsugi frowns, it's only because she's been trying not to show her preoccupation with that very question.]

They wouldn't make it easy for us to guess, now, would they?

[ Adam looks vaguely smug because Lara takes his side but he can move on. ] Does the expiration really matter? As long as the can isn't damaged, you'll probably be fine. [ He may not go on expeditions but he knows what eating five year old canned foods is like. ]

... I guess it does bring up the question of how old this place is and how long it's been used. A lot of it looks really run-down but then there's some impressive technology. Do you think there were people here before us?

[ It's definitely nice to try to avoid the fact that two people died and Adam looks more content than anything else. He looks over at Alfendi and makes a point to hide his cards from Luke. ]

That doesn't make any sense. [ That was to Luke. To Alfendi: ] It was originally Texas Hold 'Em but I think Luke can only handle regular old draw poker at the moment.

He's a bit delusional so don't mind him. [ He pats Luke's head affectionately. ] Want to take his place?

[ Would it really be amazing?? Adam seems troubled by that but he can soon tell that Guy is just excited about this. It's the same for him, honestly. ]

It's a strange addition, isn't it? Most of the rooms are fairly normal, but this is out of place. I don't mind it, I like this a lot better than playing games...

But I'd imagine they're not letting us build everything. More like they've only given us enough to not be a real threat.

[ He tenses under the touch but he doesn't pull away because that would be rude. The brevity of it makes him appreciate it for what it is and he nods over at Leo in thanks. ]

No, I guess not. But isn't that just playing more into their hands? Or do you think they don't expect us to find the staff at all? ... I wonder if they'd really let themselves be executed.

[ Adam nods very quickly at the question. ] It's entirely possible. In my experience, it tends to keep to itself unless it's disturbed by humans in some way.

Have you ever met any psychics before? They tend to have a connection with it, if they're real.

Definitely not my area of expertise—but I'm not gonna say no if someone's got any idea how to make that happen.

[alvin wants to get to the bottom of this too, after all. the entirety of the previous day's events is sitting pretty poorly with him—though it's probably more because of how it all went down rather than what actually happened.]

[naturally, alvin slides in like a smooth operator to make that quip. though really, it's not particularly enthused—that laid back energy he had in previous conversation is a little more solemn today as well.

he's trying, though, even if he half-expects just about anyone he runs into to try and punch him in the face for how the vote went. whoops.]
