DAY TWO (morning)
![]() Complex Population: 34 It's 8AM, and rather than waking naturally, you awake to the sound of an odd tone ringing through the intercom. As you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always, Judy's voice speaks up a few moments after. "A death has occurred. Safety Protocol 6227-A is now in effect. Protocol now available on Complex terminals." That ominous message might prompt you to leave your room more quickly. You can check out the terminal, where a new file is available, but as you head into the atrium, you might notice something else. The viewing stage is open. It seems that someone was busy during the night. This post is for the second day as defined in the schedule. This post is for investigation and general mingling before the trial that takes place in the afternoon IC. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

This isn't the first death he's ever witnessed, even without certain significant memories, but it's certainly the most gruesome to date. It's hard to make out the look in his eyes, between the thick glasses and the long bangs, but there's no humor on the rest of his face, and his pallor is probably telling.
He doesn't stand and stare at the body very long--there are people here better equipped than he to deal with this sort of thing. First, he goes to Judy, in an attempt to confirm his suspicions about this place; which fails, of course. He sits in the atrium for a little while, staring into the fountain water; he'll respond if spoken to, but he won't call out, too deep in thought. Eventually, he makes it back to wherever there are the most people.
Eventually, when it seems like he won't be interrupting serious investigation work, he pipes up.]
Has anyone seen his companion?

REGARDLESS. Ookurikara acknowledges Leo's presence with the slightest glance towards him, head tilting towards his general direction too. ] You mean he had one? [ NEWS TO HIM but then again he's barely gotten around to learning anyone's faces, names, let alone possible friends from Before they all came here. ]

[So he doesn't actually know her name. ...He didn't actually know Charles' name either, since they were busy arguing about a stupid candle holder the whole time.]
