DAY TWO (morning)

DAY 2 (morning)
Complex Population: 34

It's 8AM, and rather than waking naturally, you awake to the sound of an odd tone ringing through the intercom. As you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always, Judy's voice speaks up a few moments after.

"A death has occurred. Safety Protocol 6227-A is now in effect. Protocol now available on Complex terminals."

That ominous message might prompt you to leave your room more quickly. You can check out the terminal, where a new file is available, but as you head into the atrium, you might notice something else.

The viewing stage is open.

It seems that someone was busy during the night.

This post is for the second day as defined in the schedule. This post is for investigation and general mingling before the trial that takes place in the afternoon IC.

[It is also the first thing Angel can think of, because she's nodding in agreement. There is a lot about the situation that bothers her, but with no way to get close to the body for now, they might as well try to sort out the details.]

There was a "baseball bat" among the commissary items the day we arrived. I don't believe there were nails, but perhaps — someone requested the weapon and modified it themselves.

[She remembers spotting it once she examined the machine like a normal human being. There weren't any nails on the list, though. Where could they have gotten those from?]

[ That doesn't make any sense... she has to replay the logic in her head over and over again. Elizabeth doesn't look at the body just yet, instead she remains looking at the glass, noting where it connects to the ceiling, floor, and any beams. ]

How does one even make a weapon like that? Surely there's some force involved for nails - wherever someone would find them - into the wood.

[ More questions, not enough answers. ]

Poor kid. Didn't talk to him, but whoever did this... there's a reason for it.
