week zero
![]() Complex Population: 36 ( September 30 - October 1 ) You awake as if from a deep sleep. The first thing you might notice are colors, since you'll find yourself sitting in a pretty garish room. This looks like a restaurant or cafeteria of some kind, but for now, there's no food in sight. At least you're not alone. There are 35 other people here, and they're all stirring too, probably looking just as confused as you are. As you wake, you're also likely to feel a heaviness on your ankle, and as you look down, you'll see what looks like some kind of ankle monitor strapped there. Just as you might start to question where you are, a voice speaks up from an intercom system. It's a calm, cool female voice. "Good morning, residents. Welcome to the Complex. We hope that you enjoy your time here. We'd like to thank you for choosing to stay with us." Choose? Did you really choose to be here? Try as you might to recall that event, you certainly have no memory of that, though as you start to think, other gaps in your memory may appear... But there's no time to think of those, since the calm voice continues without pause. "My name is Judy, and I'll be providing for your basic needs during your stay. You may contact me through any terminal in the Complex, though I may not always be able to answer immediately depending on what I may be attending to. As we are busy setting up for your stay still, it may be up to twenty-four hours before I can respond to any inquiries. For now, let's review your rooming assignments..." Judy begins to drone on, calling out names as she lists off rooms and who is assigned to them, but no matter how you might protest, it seems like she doesn't hear you. Looks like you better get familiar with these people, since it sounds like you could be rooming with up to four of them. "Finally, I would like to remind all residents that there are restrictions on both occupancy and a curfew. Apartments may not house any more than five people, and mandatory curfew begins at 11PM. However, these systems are not quite operational yet, so we will allow these rules to be broken until the proper systems are back online. We expect this to take no longer than three days, so you may enjoy this freedom responsibly until Monday evening." Where you've woken up is a strange place, and many doors are locked, but there's at least some places open for exploration. There are also plenty of people seemingly stuck in the same situation as you, so they might be worth getting to know. After all, who knows how long you'll be here? Welcome to ![]() The first night post will be on Sunday, so if you have a role, you should have already been contacted. This will begin the normal schedule as described here. There will be another day post on Monday, and this is where characters will have an opportunity to talk to Judy. In addition, as she mentioned, there will be a mandated curfew to go along with the rooming restrictions, but these won't be in effect until the next game post on Monday. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts! Finally, remember that if your character would like to use the commissary to note what they're taking! |

If you've damaged something, you should fix it yourself. What happens when others see that we should have no respect for our shared spaces? We may not be here by our own choice, and that makes me angry too, but you aren't going to solve anything by acting like a feral ghoul in the shower.

being called a ― a feral ghoul, was it? yeah, that got his attention more than anything else. ]
I didn't actually think you were considering lecturing me. ―Listen here, pal. [ just going to saunter up closer to him. no big deal. ] I wasn't looking to solve anything. It's called anger for a reason. Not always supposed to yield results.
If you got a problem with it, I'd just love to see your policy on punching people and not doors.

I will not start a fist-fight in a shower. [He hasn't done THAT since he was a recruit.] If you're looking to direct your anger, I would suggest exercise.

afraidangry. the fact that his chest is this close to touching that of Danse's... yeah, it was probably the cherry on top. when the other man declines an invitation to brawl in a ridiculous manner in the bathroom, however, Bigby at least steps back to allow some room.he instead returns to the sink, turning the water on and running one hand under it for some temporary relief. it stung much more than he would like to admit. he's not used to that. ]
Wow. You have a solution for just about anything, don'tcha? A real remedy maker. Kudos.
[ said with absolutely no sarcasm at all. nope, none. ]
