trial #4
![]() Complex Population: 19 At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom. "Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level." Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need. As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in. You have until 7PM to discuss and vote for who you think the murderer is. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles Voting will close at 9PM EST on 10/29. voting |

Anyway yes Leo is alive and coherent yada yada yada insert shade thrown at Alice, the end]
I believe it would be in our best interests to try and find the other staff members, while we have the time. We're mostly in agreement that Rhys is guilty, so... [So if it comes down to the wire and they don't have any better options, they've at least got an idea of who to vote for.]
We'll have to deal with him eventually, though. If not this trial, then on our own terms. [Which is what shOULD HAVE HAPPENED WITH ADAM he's still mad about that ugh]

[ And that's what she feels guilt with. ]
He's not surviving the night, one way or another. I trust he'll see to that himself.

[He's one to talk, considering poor Dojima got stabbed in the leg again and he apparently didn't wake up for it, but still. It seems like a lot of chaos for no witnesses at all.]
I still don't understand what the... point is, for lack of a better term. Why go around stabbing people instead of killing them? Why start fires in some rooms but not others?

Soooo, the other murders... what can we learn from them?
[Leo has the right idea but she's pointedly not looking at him. Or really addressing him. She's speaking more to the others.]

Veronica's death or Paladin's death may have been the fault of Dickson and whoever his buddy is.
no subject
...both of those other deaths were messy. If any of them was because of what Dickson could do, though, it was probably Veronica's, wouldn't you say? Paladin was killed using tools in the lab.
Though that doesn't explain why the terminal in there was shot...

And also not looking at Alice either because!! Who needs her!!!]
Did Paladin have a gun?
no subject
I didn't see one in the room with him.

It's a long shot [hehe, long shot-- but no okay, just like everything else in this stupid place, it's not much to go off of] but if Paladin wasn't the one to shoot, then maybe there's a chance whoever was there with him still has it in their possession.
[If Paladin wasn't killed with a gun, then there's a chance it wasn't provided as a Staff Weapon, which means the killer wouldn't have had to return it. Or... something. It's a guess, but so is everything else, really.]
