DAY 7 Complex Population: ??? It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast available in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. For the more bookish residents, you'll now find a quaint little library open to be perused. Interestingly, none of the books have publishing dates, but for those of you that may know when the more famous books were published, you won't find anything past 1940. Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice that once again it's been subject to... something. The water is a darker red today. — This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. How big an explosion do you want?

It doesn't have to be huge. I don't wanna blow myself up, too. But if it was strong enough to shatter the safety glass, like Veronica's punch... That's what I'm looking for.

[ a nod. ]

We can see the sunlight through the ceiling, right? So all we have to do is blow our way outside that way, somehow.

[It's not a bad idea at all, really. Alice was contemplating throwing heavy objects through the glass if they could, but then there was one problem that remained - ]

Say we do manage to shatter the glass. How are we going to climb up there to get out?

I don't know that yet. But... it'll be easier to climb up a story than to destroy the ceiling. That I do know.

[ they can make a rope or a grappling hook or something else... they have the materials. he thinks. lara, where are you when they need your skills!! ]

One thing at a time, right?

But what if we manage to break the glass and they end up fixing it before we can figure out a way up? Wouldn't it be better to figure both things out and then leave right away?

[It would be pretty annoying if they were forced to sleep and the skylight was replaced by the time they were allowed to wake up.]

You think they could fix it that fast?

[ he hadn't thought about that, mostly because it seems to defy reality. then again, so does time travel. ]

... Tch. Guess it's a risk I'm gonna have to take. [ he crosses his arms. ] What do we got for climbing materials? Bedsheets, clothes, tables and couches... those fake trees, if we can pull 'em out.

Maybe. Or maybe they could just keep us all knocked out until they finish it. It's not like we'd know how much time actually passed, if they woke us up at the same time as usual on a different day, right?

[Alice purses her lips and thinks about it.]

If we can get something sharp enough to pierce walls, it's possible someone could make their own handholds and climb up that way.

[Like ice-climbing! With... significantly less ice. And probably a higher chance of dying.]

Oh! Yeah, hey, that's a good idea! Guess you're not all bad. [ steve what does that mean?? ] Maybe we could make something sharp enough in the lab. Slice up some pipes or something like that.

Uh, just what is that supposed to mean?

[Alice is taking offense to that, because of course she is. She crosses her arms and taps her foot on the floor, annoyed.]

We can't remove the tools, but we can probably use them to sharpen pipes, yes. We may have to sacrifice one of the showers to get one, though.
