DAY SEVEN
![]() Complex Population: ??? It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast available in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. For the more bookish residents, you'll now find a quaint little library open to be perused. Interestingly, none of the books have publishing dates, but for those of you that may know when the more famous books were published, you won't find anything past 1940. Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice that once again it's been subject to... something. The water is a darker red today. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

Not at all. It was just something my classmates were doing for the Founder's Day Festival. We were all required to participate and my group wanted to put on a play. I don't even think I'm that great of a Juliet.

You're so humble. ♡
[It makes her sick.]
no subject
[it feels odd to speak about this in the past tense, when none of the actual play's taken place yet.]
It was too good to pass up.

[Alice makes a face. That's something she just has a hard time wrapping her mind around.]
no subject
But I know even that is ultimately self serving.
no subject
[She makes a face, though. Ew, love. This is reminding her way too much of someone from home, and not in a good way.]
If you recognize that, you're smarter than most.
no subject
Well, there's nothing selfless about it.

[Alice pauses. Why did she need Emil dead...? The reason is right there, right on the tip of her tongue, but...]
...he was in my way.

[her voice falters a bit. She's killed someone who was in her way, but has she? If she remembers the stage last, then Kenmochi must be dead.
She doesn't remember killing Kenmochi.]

["Ew," she says, because she doesn't want to kiss Marta, she just wants to kill her. But something about that just seems... wrong, also. There's something she can't quite put her finger on here, and it's bothering her.
She knew they'd all forgotten things, of course, but this is the first time one of her missing memories has really made itself obvious.]
He was helping someone that I absolutely hate. And I had a deal... to fill my end of it, the two of them needed to die.
[But that doesn't sound like the whole story to her.]
no subject
It doesn't sound like you're a mercenary. I'd have pegged you for one.
no subject
[And that suits her just fine, really.]
And I probably would make a better mercenary than most. ♡
no subject
I will be blunt. I'm just trying to figure out what drives you.

That's rather straightforward.

[Alice shrugs.]
There's no point in dressing it up as anything other than what it is. I want to survive, so I'll do everything I can to make sure I have the power to do so. That's all there is to it.
no subject
It's different, now.]
Don't die, then. It would be disappointing if that happened after that proclamation.

[watch her turn up dead on friday]
no subject
But this is close to entertaining her.]
After all, it would be so dull without you here.

[Oh, look, a nickname! ...somehow it doesn't really sound affectionate, though.]
It would be dull without you here too. ♡
