At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom.

"Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level."

Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need.

As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in.

You have until 7PM to discuss and vote for who you think the murderer is.

I was listening to people when they were talking before...

[Alice pipes up, shuffling over with Leo on her back. She doesn't look well - she's pale and unsteady on her feet - but she's gotten tired of sitting down.]

Four people said they abstained last time, but only three did. Bigby was one of them, and I believe him.

So I think right now, the others are looking more suspicious. Hitsugi, Cici- I mean, Ciel, and Ava. Of those three, I think Hitsugi and Ciel are the most suspicious, based on their behavior and the fact that they're both small enough to have been targeting children the last two times.

[ as usual the room 7 girls are on the same page. ]

I believe Bigby abstained, as well. Let's hear what those other three have to say for themselves. Who misspoke about abstaining?

It's weird that someone lied about their vote. Maybe one of them voted Lara and felt guilty about it, though. And then there were some off ones I saw... someone voted Dojima of all people.

[ he's just going to lie back and sigh. this time forreal. and out of frustration, at that. ]

Let's not forget they work as a group as well. Hitsugi and Ciel are kids, yeah, but is the entire staff a bunch of kids? Neither of them could have moved Franziska on their own.

Oh, I thought that was just Dojima voting for himself because he would feel too guilty if someone innocent died because he voted for them.

[But, y'know,...]

I don't think the entire staff is kids, but with the number of people here and the number of kids here, there's probably at least one child who's a staff member. Jacky pointed it out last week - it's statistically likely.

[Well how about that? Dojima looks at her]

I won't deny I'd feel guilty, but in this place there's no time for that. We have to play the game.

I'd like it if one of them could clear it up, and say why. We obviously do not care who people voted for, it being over with, I'm just curious about the lie.

The first two victims were fairly young children though.

Except I was never coy about my vote. I've already told Adam that I abstained before having to fess up in public, here.

I am curious to know how my behavior is suspicious, out of everyone else here.

She did tell me beforehand. I can confirm that. [ And he gives her an apologetic look. He would have rather not dragged her into this but someone is lying. ]

The other day you said you wanted better chances. At first, I thought that meant you were hoping nobody would target you like they've been targeting the other kids, but then I realized... if people you're capable of taking down keep dying, the rest of us would look at you as a suspect sooner or later.

But for what it's worth, I do think Cici is more suspicious than you. ♡ You're just in second place right now.

It's not unreasonable to hope for better chances at living, regardless of how well equipped I may be to have them. Or not.

I voted to abstain. I don't care if you believe me. I chose to abstain the first time, and we all found out it was chosen at random by Judy.

Since there was no evidence good enough for me to pick someone to kill, I opted to allow it to be random again.

I don't believe you, Cici. Sorry. ♡ You better hope that the others do, I guess.

I don't care. I know it wasn't me who lied. If I voted for Luke or Lara, I would admit it now that both of them are dead. There isn't any use in lying about voting.

Obviously someone thinks there is, because somebody lied.

And why does that mean I did?

Of all the ones voted for last trial, none of them I had any issue with so far. Most of them I hadn't even talked with.

...Okay, don't really have an opinion one way or another here, but I gotta point out that, uh, could say the same for you, Alice. For both of those points.

Yeah, but I'm not the one claiming to have abstained when we've got a discrepancy between what happened and what people said happened. He is.

[ It's kind of a problem? But whatever. Jack thinks it over for a moment, then adds: ]

Y'know. Just a thought here. D'you think Judy would actually tell us who abstained if we asked?

[She smiles.]

It's worth asking, but we can't guarantee she'd tell the truth even if she answered.

I mean, true, but it's not like we've got anything else better here to go off of.

[ And he just thinks that Alice wants Ciel to git gud at his point... ]

Eh, go ask. No harm. I would, but every time I stand up I feel like upchucking. [ also i don't want to thread with myself ]
