trial #3

DAY 6 (afternoon)
Complex Population: 27

At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom.

"Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level."

Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need.

As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in.

You have until 7PM to discuss and vote for who you think the murderer is.

Are they obvious? They sent someone else to do their job. Unless we're making alliances for candy and cigarettes... the person who sent Kei had to have been involved as some way - probably one of the six.

No, you misunderstand. I meant von Karma being one of those six.

['once we heard about the six others... I have no doubt Franziska was one of them too.' He seems to be a bit antsy about that part. He had intended to warn Franziska, tell her to be careful, but he never came across her anywhere]

Right. [ Because I'm cooking breakfast and my bacon was burning oh god. ] If you think of yourself as highly as a confident woman like she did...? I don't think she thought of past that trial.

[ She says, a bit sullen. ]

The woman claimed to be passionate about the law and instilling justice... perhaps all she knew was to protect others more than herself.

I don't understand that woman. If she had a role, why did she act out like that? I get that she's passionate about justice, but if she had the power to protect people... why did she paint a target on her back?

Maybe she overestimated herself? We have no idea what benefits this woman had being part part of the medical team. [ Since this was definitely revealed. ] I warned her - but there's nothing anyone can do when we're passed out to our knowledge.

[ She sounds sad: ]

It was a waste and I can only hope she went quickly.

[Elizabeth is pretty compassionate. Guy didn't even speak to Franziska, but he could respect her convinction. And she was young.]

Yeah. [It looked painful, but Guy's not going to day as much.]

But you were right about her having a special role.

I wish I wasn't. We're down a medic.

[ :/ ]

Yeah. But Judy says they're a pair, which means there's still someone else out there.

You've got a pretty good intuition, Elizabeth. She wouldn't have been my guess for medical.
