DAY 6 (afternoon) Complex Population: 27 At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom. "Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level." Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need. As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in. You're on quite the high horse for someone who just admitted to killing an innocent woman. And are you absolving yourself of those three deaths, as well? You played as much a part as any of us.

Did she now? I don't recall that, unless you think that she was solely responsible for Luke and Lara. One could say we all killed them, whether we voted for either. If you truly think yourself some innocent vigilante, you're stupider than I thought.

Okay, you know what? I wanted to be civil about this with you, because I'm a hardass who isn't an asshole. But clearly niceties aren't enough here.

"Anyone who brings up a possibility could be guilty" is absolutely right, Alvin. That's the name of the game. When you bring up a possibility of someone's guilt, or propose a plan of action, you stake your name behind it. You take responsibility for the outcome. And people are going to judge you based on what you say, and how you say it. We don't have much in physical evidence available to us, so all we can do is determine things through communicating. That's why I think it's so important for us to discuss in an orderly way.

Just look at Luke. It was less about the accusation Franziska made, since she pointed at quite a few people at the same time, and more about how he reacted. He was incredibly aggressive toward what was only a simple point out, and that's why I personally voted for him over Lara. You're acting the same way now.

So my advice? Don't make excuses for yourself. When you bring up a possibility, when you bring up a voting option - even one from Judy herself - you need to be willing to put your name on it. You're free to be deny me all you want, but act civil to me when I act civil to you. Especially when I could have called out your name as early as the start of the trial - I'm not calling for your lynching, only expressing my opinion.

Well, obviously, since you committed it, it'd be particularly sad if you couldn't figure it out.

And as you said, we've killed three innocent people already. Pardon us for thinking things through as best we can, lacking actual detectives, forensics, or anything else usually used to solve murders.
