DAY FIVE

DAY 5 Complex Population: ??? It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. Even better, it's two rooms! You'll find a dated computer lab, but at least you can play classics like Kid Pix and Ski Free. Connected to the lab is also a small movie theater, though the movie selection only goes up to 1940... Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice something odd about it. The water is red. — This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. I could, but that doesn't change the facts, right? Nothing beats a nice, warm meal that you don't have to actually make yourself.

[he's definitely the "sit down and order a meal at a restaurant or inn" kind of guy rather than the type that cooks for himself. convenience, you know?]

You look too old to have your mom still cooking for you. [ AGAIN WITH THE OLD THING ]

[this is just double rude since his mom only died a couple of months before now—so his expression does sour a bit and his gaze averts.]

Restaurants, inns, premade food by the pros. That's what I meant.

Good luck with that, then. [ it's slightly better than prison food, so he can't complain. ] You're not wrong, though. This stuff could be better.

[ would also taste better without the fear of death hanging over their heads, but. ]

Someone in this place probably knows how to cook, right?

Probably. [he's already seen a couple of people who can, and alvin himself is not totally incapable. just, well... unwilling.] Whether or not they want to cook for a bunch of people that may be after their heads soon enough is another story entirely though.
