DAY FIVE
![]() Complex Population: ??? It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. Even better, it's two rooms! You'll find a dated computer lab, but at least you can play classics like Kid Pix and Ski Free. Connected to the lab is also a small movie theater, though the movie selection only goes up to 1940... Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice something odd about it. The water is red. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

[She's rude enough to act like she owns the place even though she totally doesn't, after all.]
...they seem to think some of us would do that. [She would, honestly.] Why spend money and time setting all this up if they think it would go unused?
no subject
But he supposes that makes enough sense. He just sighs a little, glancing back toward the screen and the men currently getting their asses kicked by the laundry lady.]
It's good to have a distraction in some ways, I suppose...
no subject
[That's the logic she's using to justify herself if anyone asks... the truth is she's just really not all that broken up about all the death and murder.]
no subject
It certainly makes sense when you phrase it that way.
[With the subtle implication that he understands she's phrasing it that specific way on purpose, good lord.]
...Do they have any other things here, or is this what we do? Watch this...?
no subject
They had other things to watch, if that's what you're asking. [She shrugs.] I just picked this one because it sounded interesting. And in that other room, back there, there are games.

[WHAT A MORBID GAME that he died almost instantly in because Kei is a terrible wagon leader.]
no subject
no subject
Not at all. Rather, our wagon leader got two of us killed at the second river... The rest died of illness.
no subject
[That's it. Just an oh, punctuated by a little smirk and a snicker, and she looks off to the side so he can't see how she's trying not to burst out laughing.]
...that's too bad. ♡
no subject
He did his best.
[He was a fckin moron, honestly.]
Did you make it?
no subject
[She hums her answer, still unable to stop from smiling.]
It was easier than I thought it was going to be. I guess I got lucky.
no subject
[Unlike Kei "500 pounds of food for 5 people" Keison.]
no subject
[Which. Rude. She totally would have shot them if she'd had the choice to.]
no subject
Indeed... Well, they wouldn't allow us to eat the oxen when we ran out of food, either. I suppose the game is simply set up that way.
no subject
[The real question: why can't they eat their wagonmates?]
no subject
[Exhausting. What good are the ox if you can't eat them when your wagon breaks down, honestly.]
no subject
[None of the choices they were able to make were really smart or effective. Which makes her wonder - ]
Do you think they had a reason for putting that game there for us to play?
no subject
Well... I do think that they wouldn't have done it for no reason, with how carefully everything else seems to be planned.
no subject
It seems like a lot of people had trouble winning it when they tried to play it. Maybe it was just supposed to remind us of how futile struggling against all this is supposed to be.
["Supposed to be" because screw you they caught a staff member.]
no subject
That could be it, yes. Ava suggested that it was placed here to be a distraction, as well.
no subject
[Like, what's the point?]
no subject
[NOT HIM. But some. Maybe.]
Do you think it's more likely to be a message or taunt, then?
