DAY FIVE

DAY 5 Complex Population: ??? It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. Even better, it's two rooms! You'll find a dated computer lab, but at least you can play classics like Kid Pix and Ski Free. Connected to the lab is also a small movie theater, though the movie selection only goes up to 1940... Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice something odd about it. The water is red. — This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. [not... exactly what alvin is expecting from his media lab adventures, but it's kind of hard for him to miss what adam is doing while he's prodding around on a machine of his own idly.

especially when he goes from reactive to very much... not so.]

You... gonna be okay there? [he's sure adam's not okay after last night—alvin sure as hell isn't and this definitely isn't hitting him nearly as deep.]

[ It's a question he's pretty sure he doesn't have to answer. He's running his hands through his hair in an attempt to get his head straight but it's not working. ]

Luke was your friend, wasn't he?

Yeah. Well, as much as anyone can be friends after a couple of days, I guess.

[it's a surprisingly earnest answer—his feelings about the luke situation are pretty complicated, but he keeps the answer simple for adam's sake.]

Sometimes things move faster than you expect. [ Defensive? ] Did he send you anything?

For some people, yeah. [not usually for him, though. you do you, adam.]

...Wait, what do you mean? "Send me something?"

An email. Or anything else. I got an email. Have you checked the computers? It was in an inbox when I looked.

I didn't see any messages or anything like it.

[he's not well-versed in email, but he would be able to recognize something of the sort. no messages for him.] I'd say it seems a little fishy, but I guess he had access to things we didn't with his whole staff situation.
