trial #2

DAY 4 (afternoon)
Complex Population: 32

At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom.

"Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level."

Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need.

As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in.

You have until 7PM to discuss and vote for who you think the murderer is.

My logic is never flimsy. It is only the time constraints and the lack of cooperation that have kept me from exercising it flawlessly.

[But she sounds more defensive than anything; despite how she acts, there's a little concern in her voice.]

Hmph. I certainly sought not to prosecute this matter on my own, but if I'm the only one with the temerity to put forward a name, so be it. I'll take responsibility for how it turns out.
liven: (DISCUSS ► i guess that's so.)

I didn't mean to imply it was your fault...we're not permitted to really investigate anything, so it's all just guessing.

[ tbh. ]

As to putting forth a name, I already said I find those two suspicious. But getting it wrong or right, that's not a thing I'm sure of.

Which two? Adam Parrish and Luke Castellan?

Well, Luke just agreed it was stupid.

[ but tbh she just is offended adam was rude about her important jeff goals. so. ]

But Adam seems rather fond of it. Otherwise, I doubt Bigby did any of this and I don't really think Elizabeth did either.

I only want to know which two you're claiming are in favor of it. But I don't suspect Adam Parrish at this point. I suspect Lara Croft and Luke Castellan equally.
liven: (REMARK ► it's opinion time.)

It was originally Luke and Adam, but apparently I was incorrect about Luke.

[ also: ]

I think the illness thing is weird and Luke did overreact to an accusation. Still, so has everyone else.

I don't think you're wrong. I think Luke Castellan may have been attempting to divert the vote from himself, and then dropped it when it became clear it was unpopular. I think he was equally involved as Lara Croft in attempting to bring up Leo's name.

I have no preference between the two of them - I think at least one is staff, but perhaps both.

I concur. However, I'll vote as Alice pleases.
