trial #2
![]() Complex Population: 32 At noon, the same tone from the morning rings out, and Judy's voice filters out over the intercom. "Good afternoon, residents. As per Safety Protocol 6227-A, it is time to conduct a trial to bring justice for the victim. Please proceed to the courtroom on the first level." Just as at night, if you don't go to the courtroom, you'll be treated to an electric shock of increasing strength until you go to the courtroom or are unconscious. Though considering the ominous penalty for not participating in a trial, you should likely just go rather than risk not voting because you've been knocked out by your own stubbornness... Once you're in the courtroom, you'll find that bottled water and light snacks are provided, but otherwise you'll have to bring anything else you may need. As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can step into the judgement theater to cast your vote at the terminal. You may change your vote as many times as you'd like, but at 7PM, your vote (or lack thereof) is locked in. You have until 7PM to discuss and vote for who you think the murderer is. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles Voting will close at 9PM EST on 10/15. voting |

[ She runs her hands through her hair as she thinks. ]
So why would they need the bracelet back? Evidence?

[ ... ]
Also, do you mind telling me you don't mind voting for Jefferey? I'm helping with the trial, so.

[ The trial...? ]
You can't be seriously implying -

[ NO SHE IS SPLITTING...HER FOCUS HERE... ]

Yes, as long as we can keep moving forward, you have my vote.

At any rate, I'm not sure how it helps us. It is the most likely reasoning behind how we never notice anyone going missing at night and stay asleep, though, correct...? Someone's anklet must be different...perhaps.

[ This is rotten... She can't really pin any other theories out there. ]
Have you noticed your roommates being strange, by chance? Especially late at night?
no subject
[ so. ]
I don't really think any of them are staff, personally.

[ SANS... NAMECHANGES? ]
If anything indicates as otherwise, please let me or someone else know before the trial so we don't panick like we did with Diva.

Come to me next time you need your hair brushed, alright?

[ look she's mostly mumbling to herself toward the end there but it got her thinking ]

[Hrmmm...]
It'd help us more if we could dismantle our own since they're readily available and all that. Figure out how to disable the security a better way, since so far the only method that seems to work is...
[Gestures. KILLING SOMEONE AND CUTTING OFF THEIR FOOT: EXTREME BUT IT WORKS???]

[ but she catches the implication, too, so: ] As for that, there... will be a body, ultimately. Won't there? We'll have the chance, then. It's come up a few times.
[ all favor of body desecration, AYE ]

[He nods.]
Yeah, that's what it looks like. Pragmatism's gonna win out here. All that's left is to decide who's gonna offer up what we need.
[It'll cost them a leg, if not an arm. And their life, that too.]

[A shrug.]
'Cause all we've got are educated guesses. What about you, you got any yourself?
[Unlikely event: someone volunteers. Problem solved???]

[He's joking, but also...genuinely surprised. He thought after her outburst at him last time, she'd vouch for everyone's innocence.]
You gonna close your eyes and point, then?

You got me. At least this time, however, there's a real plan following our inevitable mistake. That's worth something, ain't it?
no subject
I'll believe in that. Got to keep going, and we all need something to believe in.
