DAY THREE
![]() Complex Population: 33 It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. There's a workshop and tinkering lab that you can now access. It includes everything from power tools to more terminals (so no need to crowd around the commissary terminal to chat with Judy anymore). As tempting as all these tools may be, they cannot be removed from the lab. Only completed projects may be taken out of the lab. That said, it seems like someone may have already been here, as there's blood smeared on one of the terminal's keyboards. Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice something floating in the water: a boy's severed foot. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

[It makes sense to him, at least - enough that he doesn't think it's silly.
He doesn't exactly think it'll work either, but still.]

[He's a logical man, and breaking down something like this in a way that he can see different sides of it is not unlike trying to see the hidden sides of a Rubik's Cube he needs to solve, in his opinion.]
We're so lacking on information now that anything I could do to get more information would be useful.

That's a good idea. Knowing more angles would be good... Ah, but if it's true that only the staff can enter that room, might that nullify some of the things we may discover?
[Not that he thinks it's not worth a Good Old Fashioned College Try, either way.]

[Hm. A fair point. They don't know how much time the staff has overall when they murder a body, do they?]
That could be true, but even so... a tampered crime scene isn't perfect. People are fallible and make mistakes - there's the very likely chance they'll slip up and expose themselves through something they overlooked.
[His smile widens.]
Even in a lie, you can find a truth.

[But that's a reassuring thing to hear right now, honestly, and he finds himself smiling a little bit in turn.]
When you say it like that, the situation feels a little less hopeless.

[He seems pleased by that statement, his smile turning a little sheepish.]
Ah, well, we can't just simply mope about and wait for things to happen, can we? Any situation can be won, if you know how to work around it. I have faith things will work out.

[And even if odds seem stacked against them, a little hope goes a long way.]
Well... If you find what you're missing, please let me know and I'll do my best to help.
