DAY THREE
![]() Complex Population: 33 It's 8AM, and you wake from that deep, dreamless sleep that enforces curfew as always. There's breakfast avaliable in the cafeteria if you want it, as well as meals from 11AM-12PM and 7PM-8PM, but otherwise? The day is yours. Take your time to explore the complex, relax, and enjoy each others' company, as who knows what the next day has in store? Though as you explore, you may notice that there's a new door unlocked and a new place for you to spend the day. There's a workshop and tinkering lab that you can now access. It includes everything from power tools to more terminals (so no need to crowd around the commissary terminal to chat with Judy anymore). As tempting as all these tools may be, they cannot be removed from the lab. Only completed projects may be taken out of the lab. That said, it seems like someone may have already been here, as there's blood smeared on one of the terminal's keyboards. Also, anyone taking a stroll by the fountain this morning may notice something floating in the water: a boy's severed foot. This post is for the first day as defined in the schedule. This post is for general mingling and CR buidling, and will not include significant plot interaction. ic rulebook character statuses character profiles private conversations graveyard |

as for him, he's currently in the middle of trying to figure out how this chainsaw works through trial and error, yanking at it this way and that (the repercussions of which will catch up to him eventually), before he glances over in her direction. ]
How come?

Then she nods, apparently making up her mind.]
It reminds me of someone I don't like.

but then it stops, and he pauses to think. ]
I can't say that I know too many people who use saws on a daily basis. Carpenters and engineers, maybe, but I can't think of anyone else.
[ who Hurt her... then again, he can say the same of, say riding whips, since a preference for them seems to be pretty prevalent here. ]

A girl I knew had a weapon that looked sort of like that. She was so powerless even with a blade, though! ...ugh.
[She wrinkles her nose just thinking about it.]

But I mean, between this and a riding crop, I don't know which one seems harder to use.
[ when will she bring up more normal-looking weapons, like swords and spears! but then he pauses to think, his tone shifting slightly. ]
Is there anything else that seems familiar to you?

[Relatedly, anything can be difficult to use if you're weak. But his change of subject is enough to get her attention, and she hums before pointing over at the terminals.]
Those, I guess. Things like them aren't completely unheard of where I come from, even if magitechnology isn't as advanced as it used to be. They're not exactly like the things I've seen before, though.
no subject
What's magitechnology? Does that have anything to do with computers?
[ because that's what those terminals remind him of, actually. ]
no subject
[Of course, she says, like it's a totally normal thing... to be fair, where she comes from it is.]
Those terminals look like some of the input devices people used for things back home. A little primitive, but... the same general concept, I think.

[ he's been involved in his fair share of supernatural things, but magic is an entirely different world altogether. ]
That sounds pretty convenient — it sounds more reliable than electricity, actually.
