First theory - we've been kidnapped for an illegal experiment. The ankle monitors certainly suggest that...it is not unlike tagging rats in a cage. The experiment's purpose? Unknown. They could be using us to test a drug on us, or perhaps it's more oriented towards social theory, to see how certain people interact. Perhaps this is a prison, and we are all bad people who need to be locked up for our own good, though I don't think I'm certainly anything of the like. Second theory, possibly we are being held for ransom. A corporation desperately needs something from the people we know, and are holding us captive until they receive whatever it is, whether it's money, or it's secrets. Third theory...we could be under the whim of an evil group who simply will torture and ruin our lives for their own insidious pleasure...but somehow, I think this is the less likely of all the options.
