There is a finite supply of food, though water is in enough supply that you will not need to worry about that. Rationing is part of my duties, however, and is why the food dispensary is in place with limited time windows. The commissary is a courtesy.
However, there is plenty of food to last for the expected two months that you will be residing in the facility for the adjustment period before you may leave. Provided that residents are responsible with their food consumption, at least.
