[ when the shocks start up, rhys winces but he doesn't look particularly bothered -- just heading straight into the chamber with his hands tucked into his pockets and looking entirely at ease. this is, again, exactly what he wants. when he gets inside, he walks over to the middle of the room, looking around it with a mild curiosity and then over to the window where the other residents watch.

of course, this is when he gets knocked to the floor with a yelp and suddenly there is a weight on his chest and hands around his throat. rhys doesn't even look startled, but he does look mildly irritated as jack starts to squeeze. ]

[ his hands are going to wrap around jack's wrist, making attempts to tug him off his throat because come on. it does occur to him then that, despite everything, this is the first time he's ever actually been strangled by jack.
