No, I think that could be connected. They knew one another for a very, very short amount of time before apparently coming to this. Extra time spent with one another outside the time we're given - such as in secret meetings presumably comprised of staff - would have given them more time to get to know one another, as could have the set up to whatever this is by staff.

But even ignoring the romantic aspect, I find Adam Parrish suspicious. I see no point in not saying so. I found Luke suspicious as well, and that was apparently correct.
